Kissing blue skies with emotional guitar melodies, creative harmonies and atmospheric soundscapes. Releasing soon an instrumental electric guitar album with drums by Alex Reeves (‘Elbow’)
My name is Udi Glaser (pronounced oo-di) or Udiguitar. After spending so many years together I feel that I’m inseparable from this wonderful instrument. As a young boy, I remember stretching rubber bands on my tennis racket and trying to create music with them long before picking up a real guitar. I felt proud to be able to play a few “notes”, but oh the pain when they popped off…
In my debut classical guitar album, Through The Glass, I enjoyed fusing different genres, styles and techniques to create a blend of classical music with hints of flamenco, world music, jazz and new age. Alongside the music I wanted to recreate the nature sounds I heard around me while composing those pieces. Whenever I was hiking during my travels around the world, I always had a guitar with me and this album is the culmination of my adventures. I played while leaning on trees in forests, sitting by streams, listening to ripples of rivers and lakes, on top of high hills and around campfires.
I’m hoping to release my second album in the very near future which will be a celebration of the sounds emanating from my beautiful blue Les Paul and includes an exciting collaboration with drummer Alex Reeves from Elbow. It’ll be more post-rock. Instrumental music with a focus on dynamic and layered soundscapes.
