She can do it all - read parts, improvise, follow chord changes, compose melody and counter melody, etc, all while retaining the high goal of best serving the song. Not only will she absolutely slay the session, she will make you laugh with her sharp wit and endear you with her ever-present smile. Jenny Conlee is The Best. She can give you whatever you want or need: piano, Hammond organ, accordion, maybe even a broken harpsichord. She’s happy to take direction, but it’s best just to let her go for it, because she’s intuitive and enthusiastic and fun --I like to see what’s in her fingers. After all, she’s not called THE MAGICAL MUSIC BOX for nothing. She’s added so much to my beloved The Minus 5 albums. I love her singing too!
