Milan is an incredible musician. A fantastic ear for melody as a writer and his ability to chameleon to endless sonic ideas make him one of the industries best kept secrets. It’s a treat to have him on a song, whether it’s writing, production or mixing!

Interview with MILANO
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently juggling a few different things. Working with songwriters in my local area of Toronto and pitching songs to major label artists. Developing and producing new artists including my frequent collaborator "nodisco". Doing freelance recording/mixing/mastering work.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Digital makes so many things easier but you just can't beat the sound and tactile satisfaction of analog gear. I'm bit of a synthfiend.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to do my absolute best to make your song sound great, so that you and I are both happy with it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so you can be sure I'll be leaving no stones unturned.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: - Laptop loaded with ableton live and a bunch of plugins (I'm counting that as one) - Zoom H4 recording device - Teenage engineering op-1 - An acoustic guitar - Fat boombox with unlimited battery
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Max Martin, Frank Dukes, Louis Bell, Jack Antonoff, Kanye West
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Production and Mixing. Often times I'll receive an acapella from someone who wants me to create compelling production underneath it. Or I'll sit in the studio and work with people to build a song from the ground up. Or I'll receive a pack of stems to mix. It varies from day to day.
