Client services include mastering music for digital distribution (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and vinyl premastering. If you are looking to press vinyl, I will prepare your audio for the cutting process. If you are looking for a cutting engineer or have questions on where to have your vinyl manufactured, I can assist with that as well.
My genre of specialization is Techno and Industrial music as well as Indie Rock. My client's in this space have included artists such as Hiroko Yamamura, AXKAN, Mystic Bill, Elyze, MAHO and many others.
Why should you hire me?
I am client focused with a primary goal of building relationships. This is key to getting to know your sound in order to get your music prepared for distribution in the highest quality.
I've been involved in audio and music production since the early 1990s. My studio consists of a full analog chain with some pretty cool custom outboard gear. It's a pristine listening enviornment with a monitoring system that translates everywhere.

Interview with Tim Vitek Mastering
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Listening is first and foremost. I approach mastering with a subtle nature, ensuring that I'm not changing the sound, rather bringing out the best in the music.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Albums and EPs that get pressed to vinyl are projects that I'm usually the most proud of. It takes a lot of work from the artist and label to put out music in physical format. I've been working with a west coast label, Venaeform. They recently released a vinyl album from an artist in France; Substencia. It's a beautiful album. From the music concept to the artwork. I'm really honored I was able to the mastering on such a great album.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: You need both. The gear in the studio is nothing more than a tool. Every job requires a unique approach and having the right tools (both analog and digital) is key to getting the most out the artist's music.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Helping artists get their music to the finish line. There's a lot of trust that goes into working with a mastering engineer. These artists have worked so long and hard on their music and now that it's going to mastering for the final touches, it's a responsibility that I don't take lightly. It's a priveledge to do this.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Industrial, EBM and Indie Rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Communication. This is key to developing relationships with artists and labels and most importantly, getting the best sound possible according to their vision.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio consists of a hybrid analog and digital tool kit. The studio was professionally designed for optimal listening.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do for my clients is mastering digital singles/EPs for streaming and DJs as well as vinyl premastering. Many of my clients are also professional DJs and Label owners. Their tracks must be at the right level for clubs and festivals as well as finding the right balance for vinyl pressing.
