Thomas Dennis Drums on SoundBetter

Professional and creative rock/metal drummer

Hello everyone,
My name is Dennis, and I am a professional drummer from Belgium. Drumming is my passion, and you can hear that in the tracks I've played. My strongest point is that I can be very creative with music. I can also collaborate very well with other musicians.
Would you like to talk about a collaboration? Or do you want me to record your track? Or perhaps you would like me to strengthen your band during a gig? Contact me.
The genre doesn't matter, because I like to play everything. Of course my main genre is rock and metal, but I also like to play pop music!
Do you want more information? Feel free to contact me everytime!

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Interview with Thomas Dennis Drums

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: IMMUNITY FOR THE MASSES ! When Corona broke out, we wrote a song called ''Welcome To This Nightmare''. this song was all bout Covid. The best part ? We wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered and filmed this is only 4 days... That was insane, i'll tell you ;)

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm working on different things right now. Currently Immunity For The Masses is busy with making an album, so i will be playing the drums very soon. Also i'm busy with other recordings offcourse.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both...I used to work only digital but when i started to use analog, i realized what i missed in the past !

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: I started playing drums when I was 5. I played in a few bands where I gained a lot of experience. I always remained passionate about music. I have done a lot of studio work and I can safely say that I am very proud of that. At the age of 16 I started giving lessons. I still do this now. What I really want to achieve is that people are happy with what I have done for them and that I can make myself even more known. Turning your hobby into a profession is the best thing there is, isn't it?

  9. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  10. A: Yes there is... Lita Turner. A female singer from The Netherlands who's living in Belgium now.

  11. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  12. A: If i start something i will make it the best i can. I promise that it will be great !

  13. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  14. A: It's not a job. It's a passion !

  15. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  16. A: Hi Dennis, Do you also do International gigs ? ''Yes, i do. I can come over for session-playing''

  17. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  18. A: Some people don't know how many work you have to put in before you get a killer-production.

  19. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  20. A: Do you have a drum-line in mind ? Do you want alot of fills or should it remain simple ? When do you want the track at the latest ?

  21. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  22. A: Talk to him well so that you get to know him better. A good relationship is the key to success. It must be played well of course but that is no problem for me!

  23. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  24. A: Kick, snare, hi-hat, ride and pedals !

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: It's hard to explain, because i created my own style...

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would love too work with bands like Architects, Spiritbox, Sleep Token, and so on...

  32. A: Most of the time i work on Rock and Metal music but i did Rap and these kind of styles before !

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: That i respect other musicians and also that i always work as hard as i can and i do it good.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: My feeling. I think this is the way to do it. You have to feel the music before you can play it.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I'm using different interfaces and pre-amps. Such as Focusrite. The software i run is Cubase, because i used it from the beginning, and i know all it's functions.
