This guy is killing it each time, no mediocre stuff. Super talented and dedicated to the craft, on top of that he can go from rap/trap and rnb to house just like that!
Rarely can I say that someone not only exceeded my expectations but actually created an entirely new standard for achievement like Mystee. He is reliable, thorough, smart, extremely good communicator and very friendly! I plan to continue to work with him for the long term.
I have been collaborating with Stefan since 2017 and I have only words of praise for his talent, precision, ideas and vision of how the final product should sound.

As a musician, it’s not always easy to find common ground with another person when it comes to online collaboration but with Mystee I’ve never had a hard time getting to my goal.

Interview with Mystee
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: That would be the production of an EP for a female rap artist (MladaBeba), I've discovered in Serbia. I'm proud because it sounds like it should, we did not compromise our music in order to gain recognition.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, because it's faster and easier - most of the people couldn't even tell a difference.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: High-end sonic aesthetics, industry-ready sound, groove and harmony game always on point.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They want their music brought to the next level. My answer is let's do it.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: You need to know music theory in order to do this, louder is better when mastering, having better equipment means better sound quality...
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask for the references and when is the deadline.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would need my lap-top, FireFace UCX Audio-Interface, Beyer DT 1990 headphones, Arturia Keylab 49 MK2 and my Adam's A77x, lol...
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: TY Dolla Sign, DVSN, D'Angelo, SZA, H.E.R., Jhene Aiko, Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar, Griselda crew... Because they are doing it like it's supposed to be done.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Quincy Jones, J Dilla, Terrace Martin, The Neptunes, Timbaland, Kaytranada, DVSN, Hit-Boy...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type is producing, mixing and mastering Music, specifically for Artists, or visual projects such as Commercials, TV Series, Movies, Animated Videos, and so on... I also do Sound-Design for all of the above, along with Apps and Games.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I mostly like how I'm able to bring people's and my own vision to life.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on Music for a new film, set for the shooting in NYC, based on the book.... That's all I can tell since I've signed an NDA.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not that I'm aware.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Always have your references ready.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been making beats since the age of 15, started mixing and mastering about 8 years ago, that would be 17 years in the game now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6q_HraNoco
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Pay attention to your low-end.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I can produce almost everything, but I would say that my foundation is the Hip-Hop/R&B/Soulful genre.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: High-end sonic aesthetics, strong musicianship in terms of groove, harmonies and catchy melodies.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I'm huge geek for sonic aesthetics and I always tried to bring the full audio spectrum to the table.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When there's a specific style/direction the client is aiming for I always ask for a reference and start with that. Once I start producing, I update the client on a hourly/daily basis - to make sure I'm on the right track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup includes Fireface UCX as my audio interface, Adam A77x, Yamaha NS10M, and Yamaha HS8 as my studio monitors, Audio Technica m50x and Beyer DT 1990 as my headphones, Arturia Keylab MK2 49 as my MIDI keyboard and Neumann TLM-103 and Neumann u87 as my mics...
