I have an M.M. from Berklee College of Music, and currently I manage two electronic artists and do freelance recording and mixing. I have also taught guitar and done music transcription, as well as having been a former Label Manager/A&R.

I am currently based in Amsterdam, and I offer bespoke studio recording and audio mixing and mastering services. I have worked with indie singer-songwriters, tabla players, Central Asian ensembles, saxophonists, oudists, Latin musicians, vocalists, and more. While I specialize in recording and mixing, I can master your music and produce beats for you as well.

N.B. Mixing is done remotely in-the-box and studio recording can be wherever you want.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Diego Demarco; he is fantastic at mixing and mastering on large consoles and in-the-box.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's your budget? What's your sound? Do you have a good idea of what you want to hear? Who are some people that inspire you? What will this be used for?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: It's easier and smoother for both of us if you have a clear vision and can communicate what you want!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1x LA-2A Compressor, 1x API 550 EQ, 2x Yamaha NS-10s, Neve 1073
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Pay attention to your levels, and make sure you have an idea of what instrument or part will be taking the lead in the mix. With EQ, less is more!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Personally, I work on my own electronic music, but for clients, it depends on them and what they come with.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Level matching, mixing, and understanding what you're trying to achieve.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A wide music vocabulary, high-quality education, work experience from all vantage points in the industry, and personal attention.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, I look over your brief, or talk to you about what kind of sound you're looking for and what your process and thoughts behind the music are. If we're in the studio, we lay down a couple takes and do a rough mix to see if we're on the right track. If we're just mixing, I'll ask you for a reference track to compare.

A: Studio recording, mixing, and production
