Mixing Engineer

For almost a decade in the recording, television and film industry, Ed has worked with labels such as Sony Music Latin, Universal Music Group, Virgin EMI Records, Decca Records, among others. He has also worked with production companies such as Legendary, Universal Pictures, Amazon Prime Video, Nat Geo Kids, Sony Pictures TV and Hallmark Channel.

My greatest interest has always been to capture the vision of what the artist wants with his music and sound. To reach that goal with each project, it is important to take into account your needs, which make it unique to another project.

I have worked as a recording and mixing engineer in the United Kingdom and Colombia for renowned artists such as Aterciopelados, Maluma (Sony Music Latin), Gregory Porter (Universal Music Group / Decca Records), Slaves (Virgin EMI Records), We Are Scientists (100% Records), Santiago Cruz (Sony Music Colombia), Nickelodeon's Kid Choice Awards 2016 Colombia (Sony Pictures Television / Teleset), among others. Additionally, I was in charge of the recording, editing and adaptation of the musical Murphy’s Legacy: Irish Dance Show (Loft Music).

My mixing approach is with a hybrid setup, meaning that I use high-end plugins inside Pro Tools, but also I will apply analog 'goodness' in my mix bus (Neve 8816 Analog Summing, SSL Fusion, and API 2500). It is an amazing mixture of both worlds that enhances the tonal and sound quality of the final mix.

I'm currently a voting member at The Latin Recording Academy and a Member at the Audio Engineering Society (AES).
