Interview with Nick Folia
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1 We will have a chat about your ideas & desires that you have for the track. 2 You will send 2 reference tracks, to close in on the vibe youre looking for. 3 I will get to work! The mastering process starts. 4 I will ask for feedback on the master, and change until its as satisfied.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of our clients ask for a master. The entire master phase is done by us, so our clients can focus on producing an amazing track.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Its really a matter of what you want the result to be! I find that for most music its more efficient to work digitally, but certain warmth and feeling is easier accomplished by running it through analog hardware.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy when I can make clients happy with THEIR art. In the end its all about how they experience the result and when they react positively thats an amazing feeling.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Most of our work falls under the Pop & HipHop genres. Apart from that we get a lot of EDM requests.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Quality over quantity.
