It was lovely to work with Pete! He knew exactly how he wanted for the vocals I recorded to sound. He described them perfectly, making my job of trying to match what he'd pictured so much easier, but he was also open to new ideas and suggestions, getting me more envolved, which is always a positive point. The song's sounding amazing so far! It'd be a pleasure working with him in a near future!

Interview with P B Anderson

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: My guitar style is Blues Rock with techniques and influences from other genres. I've been in acts that have played various genres including Hip Hop, Funk, Folk, and Classical.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: To always do my best to help your song the best it can possibly be

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Ideally digital that sounds like analog. Digital is more adaptable and replicable. A touch of analog or an analog-like sound can make a track come alive.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: Blues and Rock music is my forte. From a production mixing perspective, I have worked in Jazz and Folk as well.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: I'm strong at coming up with or improvising guitar lines. I employ a variety of guitar techniques, both conventional and unconventional.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I record guitar (I have a variety to choose from) using Radial DIs (active or passive depending on the effects used), from which I take a clean DI and a guitar fx line into an RME Fireface 802. I generally use Bias Fx or Line 6 virtual amps and have a large variety of stomp boxes.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: Guitarists who inspire me include: Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green, Roy Buchanan, Robin Trower, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Producers who have influenced me include: Jim Scott, Sylvia Massy, Tchad Blake and Eddie Kramer
