I've done sessions in LA for over 30 years. I get a great tone on saxes, flutes, clarinets, ethnic flutes. I've worked with some of the best including Quincey Jones and Stevie Wonder. I'm a writer producer myself so know how to record myself and handle files etc. I do horn writing and arranging and can make complete horn section recordings happen.
Many woodwind players sound great on their main instrument like tenor sax, but when they pick up clarinet or even bari sax, they can sound more like a high school kid. I've been successful in LA because when I play any of my instruments, I sound like someone who only plays that one instrument. I play:
