Dope beats und freshe groves hat der junge am start... und mixing mäßig echt was aufm kasten, plus super freundlich und schnelle kommunikation! Kann ihn nur empfehlen!
Super smooth collaboration with Markus! Awesome results, I have met him in Switzerland and he really knows his stuff. Hopefully see you and collab some more soon!
I'm in love with what Markus was able to bring out in some demos I have sent him a while ago. I really agree with his taste and he doesn't overdo it, staying rather on the "too little" than "too much" side of things which fits my approach to music... Also communication was super easy and positive, so I highly recommend checking him out, you're gonna be happy with the results! :-)
Not only professional, great in communication and quick but also highly talented! Very empathetic, puts great attention to detail, so passionate about what he is doing. Good vibes, soulful and groovy sound - highly recommendable.
Loved working with LeProdude!
Had a great time and got myself a crisp beat in no time!
Def recommend checking him out, thanks again!I fall in love every time I listen to new productions of LeProdude.
I'm lucky to know Markus personally. He helped me out with some of my projects and is always fun to work with. It's just a smooth experience, since he is so openminded, always engaged, in a good mood and super helpful with his feedback.
He also walked me through parts of his thought process in his studio while producing and that's the point where you realize that this guy devoted himself fully to music.
So if you want your track/project literally come to life - contact him. You won't regret it.
I’ve been working with LeProdude for almost two years. He produced several tracks for my label Komorebi Records.
Besides working with LeProdude from the position of a music label, I’ve also worked with him as an artist on the song ‘All Mine’, which was a great experience. We exchanged ideas, mixes, and stems, to decide on the best approach to take.
During our time working together, LeProdude and I have established a personal friendship as well, which should reflect my opinion of his character.
If you like LeProdude’s sound and style of production, I wouldn’t look any further.Le Produde is a brilliant selfmade artist who meticulously crafts quality material with great attention to detail. Le Produde carries himself in a professional manner while making you feel at ease in his presence. The moment I heard his work, I was hooked.
Excellent producer, both technically and musically. A real sense for composition and arrangement, which consistently leads to great quality in the final results. A serious but pleasant approach to production, knowledgeable but also adventurous. And an undeniable groove factor that turns simple song structures into jams to lose yourself in. It's always a pleasure to work with him and listen to his music, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with his band or other musicians.
What I love most about LeProdude is his attention to detail and super friendly nature.
Working with him is always great and I'd say that if you're looking for someone who's really creative, honest, hardworking, and easy to work with - go with him :)
Look forward to many with you LeProdude!
Interview with Markus
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started learning classical piano at age 5. I have been involved in music for over 20 years now, mixing and producing beats for over 10 years...
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: For production, I'm a fan of being portable. For that, my setup includes a laptop, high-quality Genelec studio monitors, headphones, and my trusted Ableton Push 2. For mixing and mastering, I go to my friends mastering studio. His setup includes great monitors, properly treated room acoustics, as well as a British analog summing console, and other great analog gear!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do mixing, mastering, and full productions. Capabilities include groove, beats, harmonies, chord changes, melodies, sound choice, and vocal editing to name a few.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Our duo "Relatiiv"'s track "Time Is Running", release date May 10, 2019. It's a collaboration with the rapper "Anti-Lilly", and I loved orchestrating the whole collab, producing the instrumental, editing and recording our vocals, and mixing the whole thing.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Developing the duo "Relatiiv" that I'm part of. We are working on getting more bookings, collaborations and getting heard by more people who would enjoy our music.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes! James is a great Mixing and Mastering Engineer that I have worked with multiple times before. Great, friendly, and appreciative atmosphere and great results :) https://soundbetter.com/profiles/161854-james
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Digital for portability and ease of workflow. Analog for finishing touches and increasing organic feel.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'm going to be completely honest and helpful. We are going to interact in a positive and trustful atmosphere. We are going to create results that you gonna love.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The flow state I get into when doing this. It means I'm fully focusing on and loving the process I'm in.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That the most expensive gear is more important than taste and listening properly.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask for at least 3 reference tracks and notes on what they like in those tracks specifically. It's very important to get that right in the beginning, so I can get an idea about their preferences and taste.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Prepare reference tracks. Write down specifically what you like about the tracks. Don't expect people to "just get" what you like without providing proper reference material and guidance ;)
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, my Genelec monitors, Ableton Push 2, powerful wifi-antenna, and a La Marzocco professional coffee machine!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Groovy beats and chilled, soulful vibes. I love combining warm melodies with head-nodding beats.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: 20Syl. He has been hands-down the most influential and inspiring producer for me.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Ask yourself "does it really add to the song?", and try disabling certain notes and elements. If you don't miss them, delete them. It leaves space for important elements to have much more focus and impact.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-Hop / Beats / Nu-Soul. I love the combination of a good groove with soulful elements that create deep feelings.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Tastefully selecting the right sounds and elements, and knowing when to leave things out.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A good understanding of groove and rhythm. Also, I know which things to take out of a beat. A lot of people don't recognize when an instrumental is too cluttered or has a poor sound choice. I'm happy to help with that!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I trust and follow my intuition. Letting it flow has produced the best and most impactful results for me so far, so sometimes I might start with a beat, sometimes with a melody. It all depends.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm a big fan of 20Syl and his work as a producer for the groups Hocus Pocus and C2C. His sense of groove and details in his productions is just superb, and also he is so damn consistent in delivering great tracks.
