Qmillion on SoundBetter

As a Producer, Composer, Mixer, I have been involved with many Gold, Platinum, Billboard Hits, as well as Grammy-winning albums. I specialize in music with live instrumentation, making real drums bang like samples, radio ready vocals, and mixes that have an organic feel to them.

Every project is different, new music, new inspiration!

Q is King. Absolutely love his creativity, vocal treatment, and knowledge of how to get a natural, deep (3D) mix. I have worked with many engineers in the world, jazz, pop, and cinema genres and found Q to be one of the best. On my last project, I had a strong need for a contemporary vibe stemming from organic tracks. Q got down!

Interview with Qmillion

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Analog and digital. I came in to music when things were still analog, I know how analog sounds, and with the tools available to us today in the digital realm, combining the two has given me results greater than the sum of their parts.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: The mix is done when we both love it.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: I love the collaborative process. Working with artists and producers to make the mix everything they want it to be.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: How much do you love the way the ruff mix sounds? Is there a song who's mix you admire, that could describe how you want your mix to sound? Are you open to experiment?

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: The majority of my clients work with me via email as I have been blessed to work with acts in Norway, Sweden, UK, Germany, as well as American artists that don't reside in LA.

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: Creating a warm analog sound, making live drums bang like samples, Re-creating vintage sounds with modern feel, and making vocals pop, sizzle, shine and stand out.
