Terrence Esquire Huggins, Latin Grammy nominated music producer, is a phenomenal composer with a new-age sound and a unique array of music compositions. Esquire's soothing chords along with experience in production makes this young producer bound to bring original flavor into this world of music! His inspirations include production from Virginia’s own Pharrell and Timberland. “Hailing out of the Washington, DC area and in being surrounded around such amazing talent in the DMV has only inspired me to want to excel in this profession".
Esquire has completed various projects ranging from Dubstep to R&B. He definitely feels that a heavy influence in tapping into more than one genre is advantageous. Working with a major set of top-notch producers and engineers has allowed Esquire to not only create musical masterpieces, but to also allow him to sharpen vocal and production skills. I'm very happy with Terrence's work. Although we had some problems to understand each other, apparently due to a language issue, we finally made progress. I will be very happy to work with him again.

Terrence "Esquire" Huggins will take your tune to the next level! He responds fast and works hard to get to where your music wants to be. ESQUIRE intuitively feels what is needed and delivers quality.
This is our first project with him, and we'll be back for more. Thanks Terrence! Esquire takes his craft seriously. You can tell within 5 minutes of sitting down in a session with him that producing and creating music is his passion and lifeblood. What I’ve admired about him the most is that he’s always been patient and kind enough to coach me through the process of songwriting and performing, and that he has the experience and knowledge I’ve always needed to help me grow as an artist. I feel lucky to have worked with him, and I’ll always look up to him as a big brother in the industry as my career continues to grow!
Esquire has created so many dope records for me and every one of them is a big track. He produces, engineers, and can do every other aspect of the business! I've gone to him with just a concept and came out with a #1 record every time!!!
Working with Esquire has been dope! He was prompt to our sessions and returned my tracks quick. During our time in the studio he gave feedback and guidance so it actually felt like a collaboration. Even with that he respected my artistic taste and allowed me to put my sauce on each track. I definitely look forward to work with him again and referring him to all my friends who want to make something dope and not just play around.
I had the best experience working with Terrance. He was professional, knowledgeable, and helped bring my artistry life. I also liked that he communicated with me the entire process to make sure we were on the same page. Terrence is now my favorite producer!

Excellent service! Very professional and extremely easy to work with! Created tracks specifically for me and tracks around my vocals.
The TRUTH! My first time working with Esquire was on my "Woke Up In Miami" EP, where he helped me produce "Feel", the intro track. Ever since then, he and I have been locked in together, and I've witnessed him do some amazing things with music production. His has a skilled ear, and he has helped push my sound to the next level. Esquire is a versatile artist who can tackle any genre of music with confidence, and I highly recommend hiring him to help bring your musical vision to life!
High amazing production. Especially R&B , Hiphop , Pop. Always love to work together!!
Great working with someone who matches my work ethic very talented and patient producer glad I worked with him !
Esquire was the executive producer of my entire “Not Me” the EP project. Working with him definitely helped me improve in a lot of areas musically. For one, he’s very honest, he told me what sounded good and what didn’t. As well as, what I could do differently. He offered solutions when certain things weren’t working for me. He also presented many great ideas that helped shape the EP to be the great body of work that it turned out to be. I drove from NJ to VA to work with him every weekend and honestly, if he was further, I’d still make that trip because he is just that good. Thank you Esquire
I met Terrence some years ago and he has always been consistent and he’s always been able to give me a wide variety of beats to choose from that fit my sound or others I’d be interested in exploring. We definitely have made magic together that got me some placements on a wide variety of Tv series .
Professional and super talented! You’re always in good hands with “Esquire Productions.”
Whether it is beats, drops, production or more ESQUIRE is the guys to go to. ONE STOP SHOP!!! Very professional. Very reliable. Very creative
Esquire is one of the hardest working producers in the game. I met him at a point in my career in which I needed a new, refreshing sound. He supplied that and more. Once he takes on a project, he fully dedicates his time and effort towards providing the artist with everything they need to bring their project to life. This is a quality that is not easily found. A true legend in the making.
Interview with Terrence Esquire Huggins
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My most proud moment is my first project that I officially produced. I was able to fully produce my first project "Forbidden Fruit" back in 2013 with Houston, TX R&B artist Rolando Damian. That project did major numbers and was featured on many blogs with songs also premiering on radio.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on a project that is slated to be coming out with an R&B artist out of Chicago, IL by the name of Kira Hayze. I also am pushing and promoting a few other projects that my production is featured on from artists out of Mobile, AL and Portland, OR.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not at the moment, as I have recently joined myself!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. You tend to get two different broad sounds.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise full compliance and responsibility with your service request. I don't take lightly that you chose to work with me out of all the amazing producers that are listed.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the creative freedom. I also love the feeling you get when you finally finish a product or single, and see the response from something you and the artist created!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long does it take you to make a beat? Sometimes 1 day. But no longer than a week max. Have you ever worked with a major artist? Yes, and it was a commercial project for Issa Rae
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception now days in terms of productions is that anyone can blow up from doing this. So many people have lost the passion and love for actually doing the music. And with the recent things being said of producers stating that those producers of old could never compare to the modern age, I feel that many producers have developed an attitude of not giving those that paved the way for us their roses.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I tend to ask more personal questions to gauge their mindsets. I learned this approach early in, that if you can develop a more personal relationship with the artist and understand them, its a lot easier to make the music that suites them emotionally.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look forward to getting the best quality product. I wont stop until I get you the sound that you are looking for, and that is a promise.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I have been on a desert island while living in the Middle East for some time, and I had my laptop, MIDI and MPC... Made a whole project I entitled "Nights In The Kingdom" that you can hear in the music listed on my page!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been producing now for 10 years. My career path at first was in doing this as a hobby. But years later and over 10 projects in, that definitely was not the case! LOL.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Eclectic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: At the moment, I would love to work with Tory Lanez because of his new and complex range of sounds in the creative process. I do feel that in working with him, I would be able to learn a broad range of sounds.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Never allow yourself to stay in a box in terms of the sounds that you want to create. Always go off of your first instinct. That will allow you to make beautiful music!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I tend to usually produce a lot of R&B and Chill vibes, but I do and have worked in music from many other genres.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Keys and Melodies are my strongest skill in terms of production.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I try to bring me own originality to every song that I produce. I try to steer clear from sounding like some other piece of art that is already out because I feel that in chasing another sound, you tend to lose your creative freedom.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process usually involves finding a melody first to go with the feel that the artist needs. Once my melody is placed within the mix, its pretty easy for me to go forward with layering the other sounds that are needed.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run my productions through Reason 10 and MPC Essentials. I utilize an Oxygen49 MIDI and also a MPD218 for drums.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Producers like Pharrel Williams, Timbaland and Ryan Leslie inspire me fully!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: With clients, I do full stream production and also assist with any other necessary things needed in terms of the music.
