Rafa has insane skills you cannot believe. Committed to his work, very professional and supremely talented. Definitely recommended to work with if you get a chance!
RAFA is super talented. I had a tight deadline, and he delivered right on time. Fresh sounds, and cool vibe. Love it!
Great to work with! Went above and beyond!
The entire process was a pleasure and I’m looking forward to working with Rafa again. 10/10.
A pleasure to work with.
Rafa is an excellent master, patiently worked on my song. Though the task was difficult, he made 1000000% of possible: worked on small details, correcting everything to make the best! I'm really glad with the result!
So basically RAFA is a one stop shop for getting your song to where it needs to be. I've heard that you shouldn't let whoever mixed your track, also master it. But RAFA produced, mixed, and mastered the track to my song and it's friggin' amazing. Can't wait for the next one.
RAFA not only created a sickening track for my song, but he did an amazing mix, that took the track to an even higher level. I will be doing lots of work with RAFA in the future. He really takes the time to get you exactly what you want. A total pleasure to work with.
RAFA killed my track. He totally made it edgy, which is what I wanted, in a way that I never would have thought of myself. He's easy to work with, funny, and can bring your ideas to life. Every revision was done quickly and exceeded expectation. Will work with him again for sure.
Top quality experience - very happy with results. RAFA was easy to work with and delivered on all specifications of our project - artistic interpretation and execution were right on target. Finished on time and made certain that we were satisfied each step of the way. Definitely recommend.

Rafa nailed this for us--he captured the mood, structure, nuances we needed for a complext beat and was a joy to work with.
Rafa is a musical genius! I mainly make EDM and usually its hard to find people that can mix an edm track well with all the elements. Rafa is not one of these people. I gave him a mix and he took it to the next level! Not only did he mix the track, he did some creative work on the track to make it flow better!! Super talented and super easy to work with! THANKS RAFA!!
RAFA puts everything he's got into his work and doesn't stop until it's right. He's very responsive and turns the work around quickly.

Interview with RAFA
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do mostly production work for my clients, that includes producing the song, recording the vocals, etc. I also do a lot of mixing and touch up work for halfway done songs that need a little extra instrumentation.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love what Trent Reznor from the Nine Inch Nails is doing, he inspired me completely.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a full recording studio at a studio facility in the heart of Hollywood with a recording booth, monitors, mics, a badass LED wall, a nice espresso machine and a comfy couch. The works!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I love to sit down with a client and understand their overall grand vision for the project before I touch anything their working on. I've found that artists tend to have an issue focusing their effort on one specific lane and I try my best to understand exactly what I need to be focused on so we can achieve the task at hand.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring almost 10 years of experience making very popular tracks within the electronic music community and a quick turnaround.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Electronic music and some hip hop.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Knowing what you want to achieve with a record makes it much easier to finish a song and sometimes it's good to sit there and just think about what you want your song to sound like instead of trying to throw things against the wall and see what sticks.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Prodigy because they are legends.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Edgy but still digestible.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been producing music since I was 15 but I started taking it seriously as a career when I was 19 and had a beatport top 100 charting track.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My computer, Lynx Hilo, PMC twotwo6's, Slate Digital Mic with the pre.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Pick the right tool for the right job, if i'm the right tool, well then, lucky me.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always ask what their vision is and what they want to achieve with this particular song we'll be working on.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's easy and anyone can do it.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Them: How the hell did you make this? Me: I have no idea.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I'm my own boss and I get to be creative and do something i'm actually good at.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That i'll put 100% effort into anything you ask me to do for you.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, we're in the future now baby!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I know two great people, James Ruehlman and Dan Konopka and I would 100% recommend both of them!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a DEMUR EP and various clients records, including something from a great violinist named DSharp.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I would say it's a song called Losers For Life that I co-produced and co-wrote, but it's not out yet, maybe one day you'll hear it. It's very interesting hah.
