Neal brought a great perspective to my song, and helped balance out a lot of moving parts (and a lot of tracks!) to make for a wonderful sounding end product. I threw a lot of changes at Neal, and he was incredibly responsive and thoughtful throughout. Great experience! Thanks again, Neal.

Since our 1st session with Neal almost 3 years ago, we've made the trip from Dallas to Nashville to record all our vocals. Neal is a pleasure to work with creating a "no pressure" atmosphere in which to record, making the artist feel at ease. He's an expert at capturing vocals that are crystal clear with the use of his top of the line gear from vintage compressors/eq's/mic's to custom converters. His engineering skills are superior to any engineer I've worked with, not to mention his vast knowledge and speed working in Pro Tools.

It is always a pleasure and privilege to work with Neal. He’s simultaneously fun to be with, warm and easy-going and serious about his work. I feel completely at ease and at my creative best when collaborating with him. As a singer, I have never loved the sound of my vocals more, due to the care an expertise he puts into each session. I’ve completed five separate projects, from start to finish with Neal; I’ve enjoyed every moment of it and am thrilled with the results. He has the highest standards for his work and he works until it’s perfect.

I'm a songwriter from Germany, Neal was mixing a very important album for me, and i couldn't be more grateful about his excellent work. He really got deep into my musical ideas and after a while it almost seemed he adopted the whole production. He just didn't stop until everything was perfect! He's the kind of guy you want to work with on music that means a lot to you. And he's very witty, friendly and reliable.

I've worked with Neal on many Alison Krauss projects through the years, and I have only great things to say about his work ethic, professionalism, engineering knowledge and skill, his friendliness, wit, and candor. I love recording at his studio for many reasons:
1. The sound is great in the phones.
2. His mics, board, and outboard gear are all top-level (the Requisite Audio L7 mic through Black Lion converters. T-O-N-E!).
3. The studio itself is quiet and lovely - the sound/feel of the rooms.
4. The aforementioned qualities of Neal himself.

Neal Cappellino is an amazing engineer, producer, and human being, working out of a small but stellar private Nashville studio. His attention to detail, his ability to parse your comments into what you want to hear, his almost magical skills with Pro Tools, his deep concentration and presence, and the comfort and sound of his studio and control room make working with Neal a dream come true. Beyond all of that, Neal exudes a warmth and kindness that really makes you feel that he totally cares about your creations. It is hard for me to imagine working with anyone else for my future projects.
