Interview with Fabian Koppri
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Playing the guitar since teenage years. Studying Sound. Freelancing. 17 years experience in sound.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm working from my own studio equipped with a hybrid setup (DAW plus Outboard Gear), listening over Neumann speakers. Also there is a lovely piano next to the window.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: All artists signed to Erased Tapes record label. Francesco Donadello as engineer for artists like Dustin O'Halloran.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I love receiving the audio files from a client, hearing the potential in sound and bringing the song to it's best possible level.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Fender Strat, Strymon BigSky Reverb, speakers, a solar-based powering system and a cold brew coffee maker.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Best of both worlds.
