Sam Van Coillie is an award winning Recording and Mixing Engineer with credits on dozens of released albums. Over the years he has worked with artists like Jack Parrow, Freshlyground, Kenny Young, Mike Sanchez, Albert Lee and many others.
In 2012 I graduated from SAE Institute Cape Town. In South Africa I recorded with some of the country's best known artists like Freshlyground and Jack Parrow. I also worked on stage to do the live sound for Hugh Masakele, The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Johnny Clegg and Goldfish.
In 2013 I moved to the U.K. and started working with legendary producer and song-writer Kenny Young (Under The Boardwalk, F.O.X.) at Lazy Moon Studios. Here he was Recording and Mixing engineer for two "Rhythms Del Mundo" Albums. For this project he worked with Rokia Traoré, Toumani Diabaté and members of Buena Vista Social Club.
Besides my work at Lazy Moon, I have recorded, mixed and mastered legendary Rock 'n Roll artist Mike Sanchez' new album "So Many Routes" featuring multi-award winning guitarist Albert Lee. My most recent work is recording, mixing and mastering the debut album of the Belgian band Stereomoon.
