10+ years of experience. I've worked with songwriters and producers behind songs by Justin Bieber, Little Mix, Ed Sheeran, etc.. I’m a creative-minded producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with roots in the modern & organic pop-universe.
Having attended hundreds of sessions working with some of the best songwriters and producers has given me a lot of experience. I’m quick at adapting to a specific concept and capable of turning a simple idea into a fully produced song within a matter of days. I will always walk the extra mile for a client to make sure the song turns out as good as possible.
Besides making full productions I specialize in creating guitar riffs and recording clean-sounding acoustic guitar samples and bits. Wether you’re in need of a subtle muted fingerpicking guitar riff or you want a high-energy strumming guitar, I’m your guy!

If you're looking for high quality pop tracks Luke is your man! I've been struggling for quite some time to find the right person to work with. Luke instantly understood what I wanted and exceeded my expectations by putting in his own creativity.
He worked and replied really fast, so that the whole process was a big pleasure. This was the first song I've tried with him and now we're working on three more tracks. 100% satisfied. :) - check_circleVerified

Words cannot describe what a pleasure it was working with Luke. He is an incredibly talented musician and producer. His recommendations and suggestions were amazing on the first draft and it just got better and better. He is super easy to work with, responsive, engaging and professional. I was sad when this project finished, even though I have a great song, because I enjoyed working with him so much! Can't wait for the next project with Luke!

Interview with Luke Matthew
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm especially proud of the song "Alarm" that I made with three amazing guys. The artist behind is "Small Talk".
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently I'm writing and producing an EP along with an American artist.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Fred Miller & Aaron bryn. I've worked with both in the past and they are super talented guys.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hmm.. I like aspects of both the 'digital' way and the 'analog' way. Can't pick one. I'd rather mix it up and have the best of both.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "Any chance we can make another one soon?" - "Of course. I'll be more than happy to do more work with you!"
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's 'just' a job for me. IT'S NOT! I pursue getting to work with passionate people as myself and I put energy and effort into every project. I love music - simple as that!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's your idea for the song, and what do you want to tell with it.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose someone who's not acting a robot. I also like to get to know my clients in the process og working with them. That also always makes it easier to understand what the artist wants, which can result in more collaborations in the future.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Sound Card, Guitar, Midi keyboard & Microphone,
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've always listened to music and been singing along for as long as I can remember. I started writing my own songs around 10 years ago. 6 years ago I started producing and I haven't regret that for a minute since. I started performing my own songs around 6 years ago by supporting bigger acts. 4 years ago I was picked up by a publishing company who took me to the next level and taught me how to improve even more.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are a lot of artists I would love to work with. On the other hand I find that almost any collabs bring something new to my knowledge and creativity. I love to write and produce with/for new artist as well as artists I already know.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Everything in-between Pop, R'n'B and Singer/Songwriter.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My creativity and musicality combined.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work process varies from project to project. The process totally depends on what kind of project I'm working on and what the project needs. I always aim to corespond as much as possible with the artist to bring out his or her ideas and get to know exactly what they want.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have quite small and intimate studio setup. Over the years I've found that my creativity is at it's highest when all I need in terms of being creative is in reach, more or less.. I have a laptop, a screen monitor, a mini midi keyboard, a full size piano, three guitars, a bass, my microphone and a sound card surrounding me. This way I can easily and quickly grab the things I need and lay down the instant ideas I get for the current project I'm working on.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Waking up every day with a smile on my face because I love what i'm doing!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make every production something special. Don't settle with just the 'quick' solution if there's another way.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Musicality, groove/movement & strong lines.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love to dive into new music every now and then, but i still have my favorites. On the production side I am very inspired by FINNEAS, Ian Kirkpatrick and Benny Blanco. In the writing process i've always looked towards Julie Michaels, Ed Sheeran, Shy Martin and Ryan Tedder.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting (both lyrics and topline), co-productions, full instrumentals, mixes, vocals, vocal- & guitar recordings, piano recordings..
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I always do my best no matter the project.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Organic, creative and catchy.
