10+ years of experience. I've worked with songwriters and producers behind songs by Justin Bieber, Little Mix, Ed Sheeran, etc., and have produced several songs for America's Got Talent. I’m a creative-minded producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with roots in the modern & organic pop-universe.

Having attended hundreds of sessions working with some of the best songwriters and producers has given me a lot of experience. I’m quick at adapting to a specific concept and capable of turning a simple idea into a fully produced song within a matter of days. I will always walk the extra mile for a client to make sure the song turns out as good as possible.

Besides making full productions I specialize in creating guitar riffs and recording clean-sounding acoustic guitar samples and bits. Wether you’re in need of a subtle muted fingerpicking guitar riff or you want a high-energy strumming guitar, I’m your guy!

Below is a list of services:

Main services:
• Full production [average $1200]
• Co-production [Contact for pricing]

Other services:
• Mix
• Acoustic- & Electric guitar - creating an original riff
• Acoustic- & Electric guitar - recording
• Full vocal mix
• Other instruments (piano, bass, electric guitar, strings, percussion)
• Songwriting

(Service combinations may come with a discount.)

PS. I also go by the alias ‘Luke Alvin’ as an artist.

I’d love to hear from you!

If there were more than 5 stars, Luke would get those, too. He is a great producer and after having met him in person I am even more convinced of his talent. He is uttermost attentive to your wishes, creative on his own and flexible by trying out new things. I'm looking forward working on more songs with him in the near future.

Luke was just great to work with. He strives to give the artist what he/she wants and will go to no lengths to make it happen. He is patient and accommodative and has a great sense of sounds. We had a very pleasant experience and are loving the output. Highly recommend!

What a stellar experience! Luke sent over perfect guitar tracks that captured the energy of my song and showed a top-notch attention to detail. He also recorded an extra ethereal choir track that complemented the song, and shared a few production ideas I might want to use. Working with Luke is easy from start to finish. I would recommend anyone to work with him, and I hope to work together again.

There are not enough words to describe how talented Luke is. Amazing professional who knows what he’s doing – with the voice of an angel. Kind, understanding, polite, Luke truly listens to you and delivers exactly what you ask for, and more. To top it off, he’s quick with his work, without sacrificing in terms of quality. One of the best experiences I’ve had doing business with anyone ever. Whatever you’re looking for, you can’t go wrong with Luke. I will continue working with him in the future.

Interview with Luke Matthew

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I'm especially proud of the song "Alarm" that I made with three amazing guys. The artist behind is "Small Talk".

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Currently I'm writing and producing an EP along with an American artist.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Fred Miller & Aaron bryn. I've worked with both in the past and they are super talented guys.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Hmm.. I like aspects of both the 'digital' way and the 'analog' way. Can't pick one. I'd rather mix it up and have the best of both.

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  10. A: "Any chance we can make another one soon?" - "Of course. I'll be more than happy to do more work with you!"

  11. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  12. A: That it's 'just' a job for me. IT'S NOT! I pursue getting to work with passionate people as myself and I put energy and effort into every project. I love music - simple as that!

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: What's your idea for the song, and what do you want to tell with it.

  15. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  16. A: Choose someone who's not acting a robot. I also like to get to know my clients in the process og working with them. That also always makes it easier to understand what the artist wants, which can result in more collaborations in the future.

  17. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  18. A: Laptop, Sound Card, Guitar, Midi keyboard & Microphone,

  19. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  20. A: I've always listened to music and been singing along for as long as I can remember. I started writing my own songs around 10 years ago. 6 years ago I started producing and I haven't regret that for a minute since. I started performing my own songs around 6 years ago by supporting bigger acts. 4 years ago I was picked up by a publishing company who took me to the next level and taught me how to improve even more.

  21. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  22. A: There are a lot of artists I would love to work with. On the other hand I find that almost any collabs bring something new to my knowledge and creativity. I love to write and produce with/for new artist as well as artists I already know.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: Everything in-between Pop, R'n'B and Singer/Songwriter.

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: My creativity and musicality combined.

  27. Q: What's your typical work process?

  28. A: My work process varies from project to project. The process totally depends on what kind of project I'm working on and what the project needs. I always aim to corespond as much as possible with the artist to bring out his or her ideas and get to know exactly what they want.

  29. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  30. A: I have quite small and intimate studio setup. Over the years I've found that my creativity is at it's highest when all I need in terms of being creative is in reach, more or less.. I have a laptop, a screen monitor, a mini midi keyboard, a full size piano, three guitars, a bass, my microphone and a sound card surrounding me. This way I can easily and quickly grab the things I need and lay down the instant ideas I get for the current project I'm working on.

  31. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  32. A: Waking up every day with a smile on my face because I love what i'm doing!

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Musicality, groove/movement & strong lines.

  37. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  38. A: I love to dive into new music every now and then, but i still have my favorites. On the production side I am very inspired by FINNEAS, Ian Kirkpatrick and Benny Blanco. In the writing process i've always looked towards Julie Michaels, Ed Sheeran, Shy Martin and Ryan Tedder.
