RJ is a Rapper/Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Audio Engineer. He has performed live alongside superstars such as Scola of Multi-Platinum Group Dru Hill, AKON, The Jersey Boys, M.I.B (Korea), Jay Park , BIG BANG (Korea) and more. RJ has a catalogue of songs that has aired & hit charts on radio stations in Singapore, USA, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia and more.

Currently based in Southeast Asia, Singapore, RJ have set about crafting original songs with a unique style which combines multiple genres such as Hip-Hop/R&B/Pop/Reggae.

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I'm a full time musician and recording artist.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Communication is key. I always spend time speaking or chatting with my client to lay out the exact plan and direction before i start working. That way, we're both on the same page and it makes it much easier for us to execute the project.

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: It depends on the record itself. It could either be a unique hook, which usually is the key section of the record.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I've been a musician since i was 15. In 2015, i signed my first major record deal with Sony Music Entertainment for 2 years.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: My style is fusion of rapping and singing. I'm also always experimenting with different genres.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: For vocal recording, i usually take some time to memorize the lyrics before recording, instead of reading off a mobile or sheet. I feel when this is done, the delivery seems to be way better.

  18. A: Songwriting, Rapping and Singing

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: I will usually go through a brief discussion with my client with regards to the song topic, song style, also if possible, for the client to share some reference tracks or samples so i can get a better understanding of what the client wants.
