As a flutist I have experience playing jazz, classical, newage, hip-hop and indierock. I have worked with artists Lina Tullgren, Cola boyy and Andrew Van Wyngarten (of MGMT), Beccs and the Little Kruta Orchestra, Laura Wolf, Miriam Elhadji and many other artists. In my own work as NTHNL I combine my production and composition sensibilities with my flute playing to create a unique sonic experience.

Interview with NTHNL Sound

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Technological and organic.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electro-pop, indie rock, world music, hiphop/trap.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ability to find sound solutions that are creative and interesting and also appropriate. I am flexible and can generally accomplish what ever somebody is looking for.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring the sensibilities of many different kinds of music as well as a very high level of playing.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I typically listen to a song, learn the chord progression by ear and figure out how best to complement the material. Typically I will start with shorter ideas and repeat until I have come up with something coherent and interesting.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I provide flute harmonies by ear, play written parts or provide lead lines on flute. I have a recording setup at home which I use for my own music and I am able to get very high quality recordings. I am experienced with audio engineering and can edit the tracks to the client's liking.
