Hi! My name is Slavic Selin, and I am specialised in music production, mixing and mastering. Working on your music is my passion and I have been doing it for the last 15 years. I have a studio equipped with industry standard SSL Console and loads of analogue gear. I am new to "Soundbetter", but hoping to get some of your work done!
We can make a full production of your song from scratch or help you with your own production.
We will mix and master your songs in a hybrid way, using analogue SSL Console and outboard gear as well as in the box processing.
Our studio in an authorised "Mastered for iTunes" provider.
We have a team of session musicians to record parts for your track.
I specialize in Rock, Pop, EDM, Metal, Hip-Hop, and more.
This unusual combination of styles gives the advantage to create something new and think outside the box while producing your track.
I like to think of your project as a collaboration instead of a job.

Interview with Take-Away Studio
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work is music production, which includes mixing. I like to keep things under control so full production from scratch is the most common work.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The heart of the studio is an SSL Matrix mixing desk, which blends the best of analogue and digital worlds together. Yes, we do analogue mixing! Ferrofish, Apogee and Universal Audio AD/DA converters allow us to mix up to 40 channels on the desk. Total recall functionality lets us save the console snapshot and easily jump between the sessions, keeping the commercial workflow in a purely analogue environment. Alongside the console, we use SSL X-Rack EQ and Compressor modules, which are recallable as well. Main speakers system is a pair of ADAM S3A monitors combined with ADAM SUB12 Subwoofer. Near field monitors Yamaha HS5 give ultimate control of mid frequencies and precise balancing of the instruments in the mix. The system was further calibrated using Sonarworks Reference 4 software to provide flat frequency response, critical for mixing and mastering. Our studio has a professionally designed and acoustically treated control room, which fits into +-3db frequency response range from as low as 35 Hz.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Produce the track as you would listen to it yourself forever :) Record like there is no mixing, mix like there is no mastering!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Left ear, right ear, head, bed, pillow
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try your best to describe the desired result as good as possible. Then you are most likely to get one!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much is to record (produce/write/...) a song? I keep my answers creative :)
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both... Because!
