My name is Genesis Urena and I am an audio engineer with an acoustically treated home studio. My engineering experiences include sessions as a live sound, live recording, studio recording, mixing and mastering engineer. Most importantly, I am cordial, professional, and most importantly, academically and professionally experienced.

Audio engineering is more than work and it is more than a passion. Being a sound engineer requires the diligence of navigating soundscapes just as it does client relations.

I pride myself as an engineer who focuses on the live sound sessions as much as the studio sessions. This allows me to dedicate the proper focus and attention to my clients and their projects. It also allows me to go beyond the mix and get a better understanding of the artists and the correct balance of acoustic fidelity and the right 'feel' for each song.

My genuine passion to work with clients and their projects, and not just specific genres, provides me with the opportunity to continuously incorporate the knowledge I've acquired from various projects. Such projects have included the recording and mixing of sessions for award winning jazz orchestras and trios, recording Hip Hop artists and singer-song writers, to simultaneously doing live sound and recordings for various Broadway-style performers.

Most recently, my work has included recordings of live show, as well as mixing and mastering of said performances, for artists Jazz artists like Matt Baker and Natalie Douglas, and Broadway singers such as Erich Bergen and Melissa Van Der Schyff
