I am a pro session singer, songwriter & composer with vast experience recording remotely and in loco. My tone is very versatile yet unique: if you're looking for a singer who will listen to you and bring your vision to life but always add emotion, personality, urgency, top-notch audio quality and dedication look no further.
I work from my own recording studio and having recorded for many sync pitches with super-tight deadlines, I have developed a very fast turnaround - always guaranteeing quality and care.
My studio is equipped with high end preamps, compressors and mics (Chandler, Neve, API, UA, Neumann, Flea) and it has a beautifully sounding live room.
I am a trained musician with great ear and a songwriter & composer, and I will always be happy to provide vocal arrangements and top lines on request.
My voice has appeared on Ranji & Ghost Rider's "Hope"' and on Kygo's "monthly" masterclass, and I've recorded with amazing musicians such as Dominic Miller (Sting) Andy Treacey (Faithless) and Paul Winter-Hart (Kula Shaker) , producers like Matt Butler (Paul McCartney) and Tommaso Colliva (Muse), for labels like Sony Music, Universal Music, Defected Records and Almighty Records. I have worked extensively writing and/or singing music for media (movies, TV series, adverts) for brands like Fox, Netflix, Showtime Networks, MTV, Ubisoft, Nivea, Breil, Miller, Lotos, Channel 4, New Look, Ferrero, Applebees and more.
SORRY - I DO NOT OFFER FREE TESTS UPFRONT
The use of any of my vocal recordings for AI machine learning/training purposes is strictly prohibited, to clients and to the public in general.

Gorgeous harmonies and very professional. She was able to finish the song in one day without requiring too many edits. I highly recommend

Silke has the capcity to evoke an emotion within her performances that I have never come across before. The punk-pop melodies of the past few tracks were deceptively simple on the surface and Silke provided the unique layers to realize their potential.

Interview with Silke
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I am sent a backing track and separate guide (either sung, played or scored) and lyrics & production notes, reference vocalists, songs, moods etc. Within roughly 48/72 hours I send out a roughly mixed test of my vocals for the client's consideration. At that point, if needed, I go and make any tweaks or sound re-approach changes that the client asks for. When everything is 100% approved, I send out the separate hi res tracks, both unprocessed and, if requested, with effects (for a small extra fee).
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't by shy about suggesting reference tracks, vocalists, mood boards etc if you have any in mind. Any information is precious especially when working remotely!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by singers who are versatile and who have many "voices", and by true artists who convey deep emotion and urgency.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: My job allows me to connect to a very deep side of other humans, drawing from my own. Hearing a client say they are happy I brought their song to life and that they were moved by my recordings... Well that's just the best feeling ever!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "Will you send the final vocal files as dry hi res tracks with no reverb or delays?" "Yes of course, they will be dry seaprate files, ready for you to drop into your project and mix as you please. I can also throw in the effected versions if you want them"
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will be fast, professional, reliable and really give it my all.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That one person can only have one voice and that a song can only be approached in one single way by the same person.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you have any reference tracks, vocalists, mood boards etc? :) If you don't that's absolutely fine too, I'll just do my thing and we'll take it from there!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A computer, audio card, speakers, pre, mic.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have started recording vocals professionally in 2001, and I have specialised in online remote sessions in 2005.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I am very versatile, I can sing clean pop EDM songs or raw husky rock tracks, ethereal choirs or sharp in-your-face lines, ranging from a deep and round low end to sorpano parts.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Nigel Godrich and Radiohead or Tchad Blake and the Black Keys, 'cause they are sonic gods. Or the Doors, if I could travel back in time...
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Find what emotion brought a song into existence, what made a songwriter write it, and never take your eyes off that. That is your flashlight in the dark.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Most of the time pop, rock, dance, indie, trip hop, electronica and folk.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am very focused on the producer/composer's vision for a song, so first and foremost I would say I am a good listener. My priority is bringing that vision to life, connecting with the song's emotional world and resonating with it, enabling it, enhancing it.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A vocal performance with emotion, passion and a top quality recording.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from a pro recording studio with a 25 square meter control room and 30 square meter live room, with versatile acoustics that allow me to switch from a completely dry environment to a more live one (with the use of removable panels). The studio is equipped with high end analogue outboard (Chandler, API, Neve, Universal Audio preamps & compressors) and a selection of beautiful mics (Flea, Neumann, Mojave, AKG, EV)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am a pro session singer, I can be found in my studio recording vocal tracks for producers, composers, labels - for album releases, publishing pitches, music for media, soundtracks etc I either record following pre-written guides and lyrics, or write my own if requested. If needed I can cover all stages from top line writing to vocal arrangements, performance, recording and production.
