Specialist in African, Cuban and Brazilian styles. Massive lover of Congolese Soukous, Malian and Senegalese Mande Music, Cuban Tres playing and Brazillian MPB, Samba and Tropicalia styles.

I'm a fully jazz-trained musician, equally comfortable in advanced out-there harmony or straightforward great feeling pop music.
I have a particular passion for the music of Africa and Afro-diasporic cultures, and have made musical research trips to Senegal, Mali, Cuba and Tanzania, as well as studying countless recordings.

I am adept at coming up with guitar parts for any musical situation, especially at finding the part you didn't realise you needed.

I am also an accomplished arranger and bring the arrangers perspective to my guitar playing.
