Former member of the bands Menudo (Epic) and One Call (JIVE). Experience recording with Bruno Mars, Akon, Rodney “DarkChild” Jerkins, Danja, RedOne, The Clutch, and many more. Proficient in the art of capturing striking vocal performances, with an innate ability to inspire and guide vocalists to deliver greatness.
If you have a song written and produced and need a professional demo recorded, I will deliver. If you'd like creative input on melody, lyrics, or vocal arrangement, I will deliver. If your recording is finished and you require comping or tuning, I will deliver that, too.
I've spent the last decade developing the skills to build and record my own music. As a vocalist, I've spent my entire life training my ears to hear the nuances in a vocal performance that separate the exceptional from the adequate. The same level of perfectionism and meticulous attention to detail that I give to my own songs, I will give to yours. It is my belief that anyone can have access to creating a professional recording without state-of-the-art gear and without paying an arm and a leg. You can expect a quick turnaround. Any additional edits and revisions are welcome within 1 week of delivery. It is my promise that you will receive nothing less than a polished final product.

Chris is awesome! He is so easy to work with, he is super professional and always on top of things. The project went super smooth, the tune was amazing and I had so much fun working with Chris!
When it’s time to track vocals Chris is consistently my go to. He is so fun to work with while being able to elevate projects to an professional level. Whether it’s Melody writing, Rich Background harmonies or vocal coaching Chris is your man.
I had the pleasure of working with Chris on a project earlier this year. I used him as a session singer, vocal contractor and vocal producer. He was top notch in every respect. Through his singing and his direction / production of other singers he truly brought my pieces to life. He took them from being ideas to fully formed, record-quality songs.
I have worked with a lot of vocalists for different projects, but Chris was truly a treat to work with! I am doing everything I can to find the right projects so that I can work with Chris again.
Chris is AMAZING! Not only do I trust him to get the best performance out of me, but he is the best to collab with. I will bring him an idea and he will elevate it to the next level! Truly a harmony master. I always have a great time in his studio, he is definitely my go to guy whenever I have a project to work on!
Interview with Chris Moy
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I would say I mostly do writing jobs (top line and lyrics). I'll typically record the demo for any songs I write by default. What I enjoy most is helping other singers achieve their peak performance while recording their own songs. It's easy to demonstrate techniques and offer detailed constructive criticism being a singer myself.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Arthur Indrikovs--A brilliant, London-based mixer! I like working with him anytime I need assistance elevating a song to the next level. I trust his skills in making a song ready-for-release.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital is my domain. The possibilities are endless for what you can do musically with the technology that's available today.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started singing professionally at 14 years old. There was a competition to be a part of the new incarnation of the legendary Puerto-Rican boyband Menudo, and I worked my ass off to prove that I deserved the spot that I ultimately won. We signed with Epic Records and manager Johnny Wright, and embarked on a journey that set my career in motion. We played tours all around the US, and performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, KIIS FM's Jingle Ball, and even the White House. When that group disbanded, JW put together my next group, One Call, which opened a few East coast dates of the Britney Spears Circus tour. In that group, I finally started recording music that I wrote with my bandmates. I've continued writing and recording music long after both of those bands, even getting THIS close to working with Max Martin. Ha ha! Perhaps our paths will cross again in the future. After relocating from NY to LA, I've spent the last 4 years acquiring both the skills and equipment to elevate my recording capabilities and to become self-sufficient in all aspects of creating music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Attention. That's key. I try to avoid any overlap in projects to ensure that any client I work with knows they have my undivided attention. Once that's established, the doors are open for any creative input or technical assistance I can provide.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to start by hearing a reference of the song, then speaking with the client to determine their vision, and establishing what they'd like to accomplish together. From there, I spend as much time as I need getting the song to that place. I like to keep an open channel of communication in case the client's preferences change and they want to try something different!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a big ass desk with dual monitors. I work primarily in Logic. Decent speakers, decent mic, and a good interface. A humble set-up to say the least, but the greatest asset I bring to the table is my skill set. And that, I can bring anywhere.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm really inspired by Bruno Mars' rise to success. When I was in my first band, Menudo, he wrote our first single, "Lost." Our A&R at Epic realized Bruno's undeniable talent and signed him because of that job. It's my hope that in helping others create their music, a similar opportunity will arrive for me as an artist, as well.
