I have had the pleasure of working with Joseph De Natale (aka Faint Peter). He is currently recording and producing my second solo album. Interview with Joseph De Natale
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work out of my home studio. When working on vocals, I use a sound treated room, isolation headphones, and a professional-level signal chain (Neumann TLM103 -> Audient ASP800 -> Cubase 10) to get high-quality recordings.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I have projects for clients ongoing at almost all times, but personally, I am finishing up my next record of original music, which I wrote, recorded, and produced.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, because it's what I know and it's generally more affordable. If I could work more with analog gear, I would.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: For vocal and production projects, I generally like to have a few reference tracks so that I know what kind of sounds the client has in his/her head before I begin. Reference tracks are the easiest way for me to know that I'm on the same page as my client.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen to samples of past work. Does it fit the style you are looking for? Then, ask questions. Make sure you feel like you are in good hands.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my ear for melody and harmony, my intuitive sense for arrangement and dynamics, and my desire to make every project something special.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will overdeliver, every time, and I won't be satisfied until you are.

A: The song is king. No amount of production can make a bad song sound like a great one.

A: Singing and songwriting.

A: I most commonly provide lead and harmony vocals to my clients. Oftentimes I will sing an existing lyric and melody, but I also do a fair amount of writing. I am particularly fond of contributing my own harmonies and background vocal ideas to the arrangements.
