Isaiah is professional and great with communication. He was more than willing to give insight into the mix to make for the best Master as well. I couldn't recommend him enough. My band Violent End will be using his skills for Mastering our Debut album. Thanks again to Isaiah for your time and effort!

Isaiah is the man, took our mix and brought it to life. Punches hard. Really takes the time to communicate with his clients. For sure coming back in the future!
5 stars is not enough to rate Isaiah, clearly deserves more! He helped me mix 5 songs, and then he mastered them, and im more than happy with the results! I recommend him 101% for whatever you need. Fast response on messages and he's there to make the best out of the tracks! 10/10
Isaiah is a great engineer with a bright future ahead of him. All of the previous work I have given him has come back in impeccable quality and swift speed. Highly recommended to all artists and producers alike!
Isaiah is my 'go to' mastering engineer, fast turnarounds and great quality - the last couple of tracks I haven't had a single revision note to give him! If you need a track mastered this is who to contact
I recently had Isaiah mix and master a single for my band, and not only was I extremely happy with the end result, but the process as well! Isaiah was professional throughout, always clear and transparent with communication, and delivered each piece of the project with a sense of urgency until it was complete(even though there was no rush on a deadline). My whole band was excited when I showed them the final mix, and we will gladly be working with Isaiah again in the future!
Such kindness and good energy as a human, alongside his great technical chops. ☺️🙌
I'm not the easiest person in the world to work with, but Isaiah was endlessly patient with me and helped me achieve—with painstaking detail—the album I always wanted to release. He nailed the sound I was going for, and I genuinely enjoy my own music now.
I just got back the master for my next track and I am blown away by how much life Isaiah was able to bring into the song. I go to Isaiah for mixing and mastering because he takes my vision for the song into account and makes it a reality.
Recently worked with Prather Audio and am thoroughly impressed with his enthusiasm and professionalism. He will definitely help you bring your next release to life.
Interview with Isaiah Prather - Prather Audio
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Helping an artist take a track that has already been recorded, and add post-production synths and FX as well as handling the mixing and mastering of the track.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a producer and songwriter myself for almost 8 years now, I can confidently say that I can almost always help a band take their sound a level above where they are now. Even when mixing and mastering, I find myself adding small transitional elements, or using automation to drive energy etc.. anything to serve the song and ultimately help the band/artist find a bigger fanbase through their song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We have a very comfortable space that allows artists to let their creativity flow freely. I have shifted my workspace to being more in-the-box as of late. I used to mix through a 48 channel console, but these days I find myself reaching for outboard gear less and less, as my artists have quicker deadlines.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am extremely proud of the live session we did with The Contortionist in March 2020, I was an engineer on that project.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop/ Rock and Metal
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to look at an artist's past work, and I'll ask some questions so that we can get an idea of what they have in mind for the final product to sound like. The goal is for me to blow you away you with mix one, and getting to the bottom of the solution early on is always key to the process.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Distressor, API 512c, Midas Console, Focal 65's, and a set of API550b eqs
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was an early adopter of playing in bands around town at the age of 13, and through recording my own music I have found a passion for engineering. I have been recording professionally for 4 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I mix through a live console in a hybrid setup with Cubase 10.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I am new to SoundBetter, but would love to meet other engineers through the service.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! I feel each side has its pros and cons. I love mixing the two because you can get the best of both worlds.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I offer a satisfaction guarantee and will work on the track until the client is happy.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love helping artists create amazing songs.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Many people ask me about why I like recording bands rather than playing one, but the answer is simple. I love helping people make their dreams become reality. When an artist hears the final mix, I want them to feel like they are on top of the world.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People often believe that any take can be fixed through software, but nothing beats an amazing performance.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always want to know what drives the artists I work with, sometimes getting to know what makes them do what they do can allow me to help them further.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I recommend getting on the phone with an engineer to discuss your project as well as checking their portfolios to see how their style matches up with your end goal.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Between the Buried and Me. They are amazing musicians that make music that can drag you through different worlds and make you fully immerse yourself in the soundscape.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Record as if there is no mixing. Always get the best source tones from the start, and always remember that a great mix starts with a great song.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing and Mastering.
