Interview with ASHKANN

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are too many artists whom we can learn music from them. Whether experienced or just new talented people. So I guess I can't name one or two, too many!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Depends!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I always make songs from a scratch. Originality is what can I guaranty.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Since 2008 started from a simple chat about FL Studio :)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: many electronic genres but mostly Electronica, Deep House, Progressive House, Electro Pop.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: We focus on the mood, genre (mostly pick a genre which is fit for singer's vocal), then we move forward, will send you a demo (WIP version) then we fix the issues and going to next level (which is mixing and mastering if you need). You'll have 3 revisions in production stage.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: First I started with a pair of studio monitoring. But for now I have a complete production studio. A pair of Genelec 8040bpm, Korg Minilogue analog synth, Steinberg soundcard, Launchpad, Arturia Keylab 49 midi controller and Teenage Engineering pocket operators.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I don't limit myself to any specific genre but let me mention my previous projects mostly had a deep atmosphere and electronic elements. I like to make fusion songs. If you listen to my demos, you'll find out that I mixed different genres together.
