Interview with Zenya Productions

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I’m currently working on a new track set to be released soon, along with a few other songs in progress. In addition to music, I’m also diving into a Business Study Program, balancing creativity and growth while keeping myself busy and inspired. Exciting projects are always in the works!

  3. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  4. A: 1) “What’s your process like?” I start by listening to you, the client, and understanding what you’re wanting to achieve. From there, I brainstorm lyrics, melodies, or concepts and let the creativity flow naturally. I work closely with you to ensure the final result meets your requirements and reflects your vision. 2) “Can you work in different styles?” I try to work with different styles by doing research and experimenting. If it’s a genre or style I haven’t worked with before, I approach it with trial and error until the client is happy. If I feel it’s not working, I’ll always be upfront and honest about it. My goal is to deliver something unique and aligned with your vision. 3) “Can you create audio for revamping my brand?” Absolutely! Whether it’s a custom audio logo, background music, or a full advertising track, I can help create something that aligns with your brand’s identity. I’ll work closely with you to understand your vision and bring it to life with unique, professional audio that makes an impact. 4) “How do I know if we’re a good match?” Let’s chat! I’m upfront and honest about what I can offer and always focus on creating a strong connection to ensure we’re aligned. If we vibe creatively, we can make something amazing together.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: I’ve had a lot of misconceptions about me—ha ha—but the truth is, I’m easygoing and flexible. I’m also extremely passionate and vocal about my work and ideas. I have high respect and values for other artists and would never treat anyone as less than me. Collaboration and mutual respect are key for me, and I love working with people who feel the same.

  7. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  8. A: If I could bring just five pieces of gear, I’d start with my laptop (of course) and a microphone. Internet access would be a dream (if possible), along with a few essentials from my studio setup to make music. After all, being on a desert island would give me plenty of time to create and experiment—ha ha!

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I began creating my own tracks back in September 2016, starting on my phone. Within 8–9 months, my first song, Love Me or Hate Me, was remixed, played on the radio, and even featured at a boat and warehouse party—an amazing experience that included my first interview. I also had label interest in one of my tracks, though I never got the full details, which only added to the excitement of that time. Now, I’m learning Ableton and have recently released my first track, Love Reversed, on SoundCloud. This track best represents my style and direction, blending genres and pushing creative boundaries. I’ve also worked on several other tracks that showcase my sound: -Reflections of Me -Raise Your Frequency -Love Me or Hate Me -Lord Help Me I feel there’s a lot of potential to unlock, and I’m excited to collaborate with others who can help me bring my vision to life.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: My style is all about mixing genres and breaking away from the usual rules. I’m inspired by any kind of music, and I love blending unexpected sounds together to push creative boundaries. Rather than sticking to one genre, I aim to create music that’s unique and goes beyond the norm—music that’s truly its own.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: I’d love to collaborate with someone who is genuinely creative and open to blending genres. For me, it’s about working with someone who has a strong passion for their craft and isn’t afraid to take risks to create something unique and meaningful.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Keep asking questions and never stop learning—there’s always something new to discover in music production. Building good connections with the people you work with and maintaining open communication is just as essential. Even as I’m still growing in my own journey, I’ve found that collaboration and learning from others can elevate any project.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I primarily work on Audio Advertising or Brand Audio. Personally, I love to create House and Dance music, but I’m not one for labels. I love blending different genres and sounds—like mixing dubstep elements with house—to create something that feels truly original. For me, it’s all about exploring new sounds and pushing boundaries, rather than fitting into a specific category.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: My process starts with really listening to the music to see if there's a natural connection. If I feel that spark, I’ll start exploring ideas—jotting down lyrics, themes, or song concepts that feel right for the track. From there, I get in front of the mic and let the creativity flow naturally. I believe the best results come from an intuitive approach, allowing inspiration to lead the way. If I don’t feel that connection, I’ll be honest with you, as I don’t want to waste anyone’s time on something that doesn’t resonate.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: I operate from my personal studio, equipped to deliver professional-grade audio. My setup includes Ableton 12 running on a high-performance Dell laptop, providing a robust platform for music production. For monitoring, I use Behringer DT1990 Pro and Meters OV1B Connect headphones, along with KRK8 and KRK6 studio monitors, ensuring accurate sound reproduction. My vocal recording chain features a Rode NT3 microphone paired with the Kaotica Eyeball, effectively isolating vocals for pristine recordings. I utilize both the XENYX Q502 USB and Yamaha MG06X mixers to accommodate various recording scenarios. Additionally, a MIDI keyboard and control surface enhance my workflow, providing flexibility and precision in music production.

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: I’m inspired by anyone who approaches music with originality and a willingness to push boundaries. I admire people who experiment with sound, mix different styles, and focus on creating music that connects with listeners on a deeper level.

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: Most of the work I do is all about bringing authentic vocals and lyrics to projects that resonate. I take on music that I can genuinely connect with because, honestly, that’s when I do my best work. If I feel the vibe, I can bring real heart and soul into it. Beyond singing and songwriting, I also run Zenya Productions, where I handle audio advertising. It’s a mix of things, but it’s all about creating something that feels right and really connects with listeners. I’m here to work with you if it feels like a good match. 27. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  28. A: One project I’m especially proud of is my first track created on Ableton, Love Reversed. It was a milestone in my journey as a songwriter, singer, and producer, showcasing my creativity and determination. I’m also thrilled about my soon-to-be-released track, Listen Baby, which I consider my best work yet—it reflects how much I’ve grown since starting out. Another project I’m proud of is creating audio for a cosmetic doctor’s new brand, blending creativity and professionalism to craft something impactful. I’m always excited to take on unique projects and collaborations, pushing boundaries and bringing ideas to life.

  29. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  30. A: Every producer I’ve worked with on SoundBetter so far has been wonderful, delivering great results and creating a positive experience. I’m grateful for their understanding, kindness, and advice, which have made for strong, long-term working relationships. I’m always eager to learn and grow, and I truly value the collaborative spirit here.

  31. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  32. A: I embrace both! Digital tools like Ableton give me flexibility and endless creative possibilities, while analog elements add warmth and character. I combine the best of both to suit the project.

  33. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  34. A: I promise honesty, dedication, and exceptional quality. I’ll bring passion, creativity, and professionalism to every project, ensuring your vision is brought to life with care and precision.

  35. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  36. A: I love the creative freedom to blend genres, express emotions, and bring ideas to life. Collaborating with others to create unique, impactful music is incredibly rewarding and inspiring.

  37. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  38. A: 1) What do you feel about this particular track? 2) What emotions or ideas do you want it to convey? 3) Are you envisioning something dark and moody or more upbeat and lighter? (While I naturally lean toward darker, stronger styles, I can create uplifting tracks if that’s the vibe you’re after). 5) What style are you looking for? I prefer to bring my own creative spin to a project rather than replicating what’s already out there. If you’re looking for something unique and bold, we’ll probably be a great match. I’m upfront and honest, so don’t be surprised if I share my thoughts openly—it’s all about getting the best result for your music!

  39. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  40. A: Take the time to connect with the provider and ensure they understand your vision. Look for someone who is not only skilled but also passionate about the project and willing to communicate openly throughout the process. Be clear about your goals and expectations, and don’t be afraid to ask questions—it’s your project, and collaboration is key to making it the best it can be. Trust is important, so choose someone who resonates with your style and brings enthusiasm to the table

  41. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  42. A: My strongest skill is creating catchy melodies and lyrics that stick with people long after they’ve heard them. Until recently, I didn’t fully realize my knack for songwriting, but I’m excited to see where this talent can take me—and how I can use it to make your music unforgettable.

  43. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  44. A: I bring emotion, authenticity, and a sense of relatability that resonates with listeners. My aim is to create melodies and lyrics that stick, making the song not just catchy, but memorable. I want each track to feel genuine and connect with people on a real level, bringing out the best in the music.
