Live Drum Tracks

My method of drum tracking is modern & cutting edge. Using a converted e-kit and top of the line software, I can provide you with endless options of kit sounds - paired with the nuances of a live-recorded acoustic kit.

I bring over 35 years of experience in the music industry as a composer, performer, recording artist and producer to the table. I have recorded drums as a member of nearly 20 Seattle bands, and provided session drummer services to a dozen more.

My style of playing is rooted firmly in rock, but meanders into folk, americana, singer-songwriter, surf, pop-punk, psych, shoegaze, indie and straight-up pop. I lean towards playing "for the song" over showy fills and busy beats that mask the message of the artist.

My home studio is ready to track drums for your project! By using top-of-the-line electronic conversion drums (acoustic kit converted with triggers) and flagship software (Superior Drummer 3), I am able to capture the nuances of a live drummer playing an acoustic kit - but can easily alter the sound of the drums to satisfy whatever sound you are after for your recording. The options are limitless. And the editing capabilities are unrivaled. Unlike a studio take where you are stuck with that one fill that gets under your skin - sections of a track can be edited in the midi notes, or a new take can be punched in, without worrying that a microphone has been moved or the room sound has changed. I am convinced this new method of drum tracking will expand the horizons of music production.
