Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At this moment- except preforming, recording and teaching, i am working on my album.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The fact that i am able to work by doing what i love most- is the best part of the job.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People sometimes think that being a Musician is an easy job that doesn`t require a lot- which is wrong. Being a musician include a lot of training, self discipline and being able to push yourself to the next level all the time.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Besides the technical details of : rhythm, chords etc.. i always ask the clients questions that can help me figure out , how they want and expect the final outcome to be.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try to find a professional that will have the closest skills to what you need, and try to keep an open mind :)
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Of course my Guitar, a good book, a tent, ipad and my favorite CD.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I`ve been playing guitar for 15 years, in the last 10 years iv`e been teaching and preforming with my own songs. I started recording and composing professionally about 6 years ago.. nowadays i mainly make recording sessions, i run my music school and work on my album.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Steve wonder- simply, because he is a LEGEND :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Go with the ear- even if you see something visual but your ear tells you something else- always go with the ear.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: World music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Improvise. i know how to fit my skills to the project i`m working on - in the most natural way.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I try to look at every song as an individual and try to bring a sensitive, emotional and personal tocuh.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, i read and go through the clients requests and try to understand best what he wants and expects from me. Then, i listen to the basics that he sent me and start working on a draft. Once i figure out what is needed i start recording and send it to the client. Of course i`m aware that changes are sometimes required, so i keep in close contact with the client until he is satisfied.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: i am mostly driven by Spanish authentic music, the musicians that inspire me the most are: Paco de lucia, Viciente Amigo and Al Di meola.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of my work is based on playing and recording live guitar sessions - classic and acoustic. i specialize in flamenco and Spanish guitar. Besides that i do a lot of composing work for songs, movies and commercials.
