I am a seasoned performer, songwriter, and session vocalist with over 20 years of experience.
I can sing anything from EDM, Pop, and Rock...to Country & Blues...as well as Indie/Singer-Songwriter type tracks. The most valuable thing about me is my ability to match any singing style, and adapt my voice accordingly.
I am available for lead vocals, background vocals/harmonies, singing top lines, and writing top lines.
**Please check out the first song on my profile, “Fade Away” in which I wrote the music, lyrics, and melody and provided all vocals. The next two tracks are also an example of my vocal work and songwriting.
Feel free to also check out the tracks, under "More Samples"....to get a feel for how I can sing in many styles, as well as read my multiple 5 Star reviews below.
*If there is any songwriting involved, I am registered with ASCAP, and we can work out a percentage of writer's for each project. In most cases, I am okay with using my name. I require half of payment up front, and the other half upon delivery.
--All songs were written or co-written by myself, as well as me on vocals. Cheers!

Shaley Scott is one of the best vocalist I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. I mean what can I say. Just Perfect. Gosh, it was over before we really got started. She was spot on about what I asked her to sing and that was it. I’m her biggest fan now and she’s such a great personality and talent. She’s the voice you want, every time. I will always go to her first. Thank you Shaley. You’re a hit.

I don’t even know where to start. I was blown away with Shaley’s work. She provided lead and backing vocals. The harmonies were incredible. She followed a general outline but made it her own. She doesn’t waste a note. And her voice is versatile; powerful, emotive, and subtle at the same time. Shaley is a creative talent. Communication is top-notch. I hope to work with Shaley again soon.
Amazing vocals as always.. can really hear the emotion coming through, highly recommend!!
Shaley great and very flexible on scheduling and follow up and project revisions were needed. Just finished a second project which turned out super great. She is solid.

Shaley is a true professional. I can't wait to share her contribution to my song with the world!
I hired Shaley to record the female part of a piano ballad duet and she did an outstanding job. Her performance was top notch and her ability to capture the emotion I wanted was spot on. She also maintained her professionalism and did not let a small miscommunication get in the way of laying down a truly great track. I am truly honored to have someone who has done work with feature films collaborate on my project and I hope to be able to work with her again soon.
Shaley Scott is very talented, efficient and fast. After having worked with her several times I can say that I am always very satisfied with the result.
Shaley did great work providing hooks and adlibs vocals on a song for my EP! Great communication and on time! I highly recommend.
Shaley is an incredible artist. The job I posted was quite an experimental and emotionally challenging song. She really descended deeply into it, staying incredible close to the original idea but adding a lot of her own (good stuff!) , never drifting away from the intended spirit of the song. She understands music and understands that ‘god is in the detail’.
Great timbre, professional vocal/microphone technique, great pitch and timing. Hopefully will be able to work with you again in the future
I'm super happy I picked Shaley. She delivered me high quality vocals in a short time and nailed it at first try! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Shaley is freaking incredible! I've worked with a lot of people and I can honestly say that Shaley is a TRUE artist. She's a professional and will stop at nothing to make sure your project is awesome. She's a phenomenal vocalist and has tons of experience. I super duper highly recommend her! :)
Shaley is a rare find! She has an amazing, unique voice that's rich with character and some of the vocal nuances she does will simply blow you away. Her communication skills are off the charts and to top it all off she couldn't be cooler or sweeter. I've worked with a lot of singers and Shaley has my highest recommendation!
Always a pleasure to work with the brilliant Shaley.
I loved working with Shaley Scott!
She is so super talented and easy to work with, as well! Shaley is a total professional, very quick to pick up on the details and nuances of the song.
She kept in good communication with me over the holiday,
and even added some doubles and harmony parts to the vocals!
Shaley definitely took my song way up to the next level!
I'd absolutely love to work with her again!
Interview with Shaley Scott
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Indie-Pop with a twist of Soul.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My biggest project to date, was working with Sony Pictures. I sang in the animated Smurfs movie, starring Julia Roberts and Demi Lovato, which hit theaters last summer. That was an example of me getting a job, because I was able to make my voice EXACTLY how the producers wanted it. They had tried two artists before me, but those artists weren't able to get the sound Sony wanted, in their voice. My knowledge and experience helped me navigate my voice--to get the performance they wanted.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a sound proof home studio, with a Mac that's running Protools. I am currently using the Blue Baby Bottle SL Microphone - Cardioid. It works very well with my voice, and I've had nothing but compliments using it. I play piano and guitar, which helps in the songwriting process, as well. I record all my own vocals, which let's me have a faster turn around time, rather than relying on someone else to help record.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to co-write/work with Dolly Parton and Justin Timberlake.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am writing 2 original songs for a Christmas movie, airing on the Ion Channel, this holiday season.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. There just isn't much reason for analog anymore, other than to be cool. There are so many analog plug-ins that get the exact same sound. I do love the analog sound and feel to things, though. But, these days, that can be duplicated.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Top Quality, creativity, and good communication.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What's not to like?! Anytime you can get paid to do what you love to do--then you are winning. I love the fact that I can wake up everyday and work on music, because not everyone can do that. It makes me happy.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I only do pop music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I would ask for examples, as well as their expectations on a time frame. Cost can be negotiable with each project, as well.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be as specific as you can when describing the job you want done...give examples, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am very productive as a session singer, I work fast, and have an ear for harmonies and top lines. I love to sing in different styles...as my voice can adapt to almost any style/genre. I don't like to limit myself to just one type of music. I can also help with, and co-write lyrics and melodies. I am a well-rounded musician, who works hard and takes every job seriously.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I would say my forte is how I can make my voice any style...which some singers simply cannot do. It is a great skill to have. I am also very good with writing hooks.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I think all I would need is a guitar and a mini keyboard to be happy. Can I bring my Mac? I guess I'll need a generator too....Lol I would at least need to LISTEN to music, as well.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I originally only wanted to be a performer...but, now I've gotten into songwriting and publishing, and it's something I think I could have a great future in. I really want to move into song placement and writing for other artists. But, singing will always be my first love.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Pop....but, have recently been getting into Country music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vocals--I've just been singing for so long.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It depends on the project. With singing, I am a very fast learner and can lay down vocals typically very quick. I have always done well with adding extra harmonies to a project, and doubling. As for songwriting, it all varies. I am able to write melodies over existing tracks and chords--as well as add lyrics, if needed. I am flexible, and I enjoy many parts of being a musician.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired from so many different artists. I loved Tori Amos, Dolly Parton, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Prince, the list goes on and on. Again, I really enjoy being a part of multiple genres.
