I'm best known as the flute player from Emancipator's recent releases. My passion is improvising, but I'm also happy to read parts. I am a multi-instrumentalist who is comfortable recording in styles ranging from bluegrass to hip hop.
I have a great home studio set-up where I can record:
- flutes (concert, alto, bass, bamboo, Irish)
- saxes (alto, tenor)
- guitar (rhythm, fingerstyle)
- vocals (lead or background)
I am comfortable writing parts, improvising solos or reading parts that are already written. I've done a lot of multi-line horn sections (a la Menahan Street Band) and love creating cool pads and soundscapes with wind instruments. My academic studies focused on jazz and composition, and I have toured nationally and internationally with funk, electronica, rock, folk and world music groups. My philosophy as a session musician is to serve the song - to play something that lifts up and showcases the tune.

I usually allow two revisions per project, and my turn-around time is generally 3-5 days, though I can work more quickly if needed.
