Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michael Blasky is a musician and award-winning composer currently based in Los Angeles, CA. He attended the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and received a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance (’17). He's performed extensively around the country, from the festival stages of Coachella, Snowglobe, and the Monterey Jazz Festival, to iconic LA venues like the Fonda Theater, Roxy Theater, Observatory, and blue whale, to Bay Area halls such as Herbst Theater, Davies Symphony Hall, and the SFJazz Center. Michael is now active as an in-demand freelance musician, whether it be gigging as a sideman, contributing arrangements or productions to a track, scoring a short film, or leading and composing for his own projects.
