Gio was amazing. Would love to work with him again as he met the needs of my project. Such a great experience.
I have worked with Gio Lombardi many times and he is one of the best Guitarists you'll find! His style of playing always compliments the project he is working on - he's got rhythm guitar chops like LA session greats - Paul Jackson Jr. and can lay down a solo like Jay Graydon or Pat Metheny depending on what the song calls for, never too much never too little, but just right.
Gio is an incredibly talented and complete musician. I am a singer/songwriter/producer and we have worked together in both, live performances and the studio. He is very experienced as a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and performer. He focuses immensely on the small details so I can always rely on him for any project and/or performance.

Interview with Gio Lombardi
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't be afraid to propose something a bit different to your client....you might be surprised!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I don't have a specific name but, if "a" project has the following elements: Jazz derived harmony, groove & soul...I'm definitely the right person to call!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly Jazz, R&B and Latin but I work with Pop-Rock too.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Versatility, I can easily go from a jazz context to R&b or Latin maintaining my personality, or if requested mix them all up into what people have labeled as "Gio Style"
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My personal touch, taste, and feel. The result of decades of professional experience can be easily summarized with those three words.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to have an open channel of communication with my client, it all starts there. Have detailed instructions to deliver exactly what is requested or a blank canvas to let my creativity go wild. In most cases, the result of the work is somewhere between the two extremes.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have three guitar amps (Mesa boogie, PeaVey, Fender) which I use to preamp the guitar sound. Have a combination of cabs of different sizes according to the needs of the project and all kinds of effects for the guitar. I use a Mac book pro loaded with Ram and CPU power that makes my Logic pro x run very smooth in combination with my Focusrite card. A series of studio monitors and headphones to end with
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I can't list specific names but I know when I hear beauty and sophistication, regardless of which music context are they part of.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually, I record guitar parts for my clients, both lead parts and rhythm parts. Also, I produce rhythm sections (bass, drums, guitars, and keys) and a ratio of 60/40
