My name is Amanda Kayrae, aka KAYRAE, and I am a singer/songwriter in the Los Angeles, CA area. When I am not singing, I am working in tv/film and currently writing songs for potential placements with well established artists.
I am able to write song lyrics and come up with background vocals as well. I can sing any genre from country, to opera, to EDM and pop. I have my Bachelor's Degree in vocal performance and have been trained vocally since the age of 11.
I have been songwriting for the last 12 years in many different styles and genres. I have a home studio and an engineer who can produce a rough mix of the track when finished for an additional fee or percentage.

Kayrae is an unbelievably talented and has an incredible tone to her voice. We worked together on an single that's being released on Perfecto Records and couldn't be happier with the results. Her songwriting is top notch and she is such a pleasure to work with that it makes the whole process that much more enjoyable! Highly Recommended!
Kayrae is a talented and versatile vocalist with a beautiful tone that works across genres.
I'm a producer by the name SWU, and I've worked with a lot of artists from Atlantic and Def Jam. Out of everyone, Kayrae was by far one of the most hard working, modest, and talented individuals, who is really all about the music. She's really easy to work with, and you can tell she puts real effort into writing toplines. Just listen to her songs, the quality of her toplines are stunning. I was really happy working with her, and you will be too.
Interview with Kayrae
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that I get to be creative and express myself through what I do and in the process possibly help others as well.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am so honored to have been part of the Kaskade Christmas album that was released in late November 2017 where I am the featured artist for "In The Bleak Midwinter". The whole album itself is just a work of art and I am proud to be able to play it each year during the holidays to come.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently waiting for the release of two songs later in June as well as pitching/placing two other completed projects with labels for distribution.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to always be communicative, work with quality and care, with as much efficiency as possible.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Often times, I will be asked to do collaborations. As much as I would love to do this, my free time is valuable and has to be compensated accordingly.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I typically like to know what kind of time frame I have to complete a project as well as any song ideas already in mind.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started out by studying classical voice and graduating with my bachelor's degree in vocal studies. I have been seriously pursuing an artist career for the last 4 years and sort of fell into the dance music world.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My vocal style is very eclectic. I have a very deep female voice but can also extend my range into ethereal tones.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Celine Dion, simply because she is my biggest inspiration. Her voice and personality are top of the line.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Most recently, I have been writing and singing for EDM and pop/soundtrack style projects.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is vocal versatility. I am able to adapt to the energy, emotion, and style of different genres.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whenever I work on a new song, I make sure to give it the attention and creative care that it needs to be completed the right way. With my unique vocal style, I am able to deliver something memorable each time.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to take an instrumental from a producer and come up with rough lyrics and melody. Once that is finished, I will send it over for any notes or critiques and move forward from there. When the full lyrical idea is completed, another round of notes is given. Final vocals are then recorded and last touches added. After the song structure has been approved, I then bounce out the stems for the producer to mix and master.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I started singing because of Celine Dion. Her impeccable vocals and attention to emotional connection has made her my ultimate performer inspiration.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually write lyrics, melody and background vocals for provided instrumentals.
