Every Million Miles, Adam Tensta, Amy Diamond, Wei Wei, Tainted Black

I have studied music production at the renowned Songwriters Academy of Sweden and would be delighted to assist with your musical projects. Whether you need help mixing a song or recording piano, organ, or guitar parts, I am here to serve the song and enhance its emotional impact.

With extensive experience and top-notch equipment, I offer a fast turnaround of usually 1-2 days, with a maximum of 4 days. My primary DAW for mixing and recording is Studio One. I use a Neumann TLM 103 microphone through a UA6176 compressor and an Apollo Universal Audio interface, along with a Shure SM7B microphone. For collaborations, I prefer using Soundtrap.

My go-to instruments include a Gibson J-45 guitar and a Nord Stage 3 keyboard. Additionally, I have a diverse sample library featuring a variety of sounds and instruments, including Irish flutes and accordions.

Please tell me about your project and how I can assist by clicking the ‘Contact’ button above.

Quick response and quick delivery. Andreas plays the piano with great expression and technique. There was no need to make any changes or additions, Andreas got it right immediately. My strongest recommendation!

Andreas is a great writer, and his tracks are extremely well recorded. His layering of acoustic guitars is beautiful and very in-the-pocket; piano too. He’s a pleasure to work with!

Interview with Andreas Hedlund

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: I sometimes record with children. It is both challenging and fun. I learn a lot from their perspective. I try to blend their knowledge with mine. However, one artist I would love to play with is Van Morrison, especially from his earlier era.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Work hard and learn.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Mostly rock, indie, pop, soul, but also folk songs.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: My greatest strength is my understanding of the overall picture in music. I can play many instruments and adapt accordingly.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I believe I add another dimension to the songs I contribute to. At least, that is my driving force.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: I familiarize myself with the material and find it easy to play by ear. Reading sheet music is not my strong suit :) I am meticulous about ensuring the material is well-recorded, which makes mixing easier to handle.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: I use professional equipment but believe that you can achieve a lot with simplicity, as long as you can handle and understand the music. I frequently use a Universal Audio 6176 preamp/compressor, a Gibson J-45, and a Nord Stage 3. I record in Studio One, Logic, and Pro Tools. I have extensive experience in studio work.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: I like all types of music, really. However, I am most drawn to the simple and mysterious, and those that have a slightly melancholic core.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I often get to play piano on other people's songs, both live and in the studio. I also have a strong love for the guitar, especially the acoustic guitar. A few years ago, I bought a beautiful Gibson J-45 guitar, which I use frequently.
