Chris made a great job. He was clear, precise and fast at finishing the mastering. He also sent me feedback and some very useful tips about the track. I would work with him again.
Interview with Chris Dececio
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital sounds just as good these days and is much more convenient for recalling settings. I do have real valves though if you particularly want your music passed through them ;)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will treat your music as if it was my own and try my very best to make you happy with it
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Reference tracks are very useful
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just drop me a message with what you're looking for. Include an mp3 of your track(s) if possible
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started off writing tracks and teaching myself how to mix them. Had my first airplay on BBC Radio 1 when I was 21 and I've been releasing records ever since! Managed to have a Radio 1 of the week and a US Billboard no.1 single along the way. Also been nominated for a couple of awards recently
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean, crisp, full and ready for radio
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't get caught up chasing the latest software & plugins - master the ones you have!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Usually electronic music but also happy to work with more acoustic styles
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm creative as well as being very experienced with technology. I'm currently writing & producing tracks for the likes of EMI, Universal, BMG, Warner/Chappel, Sony etc and I listen to the radio every day so I know what works
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I regularly hear my tracks on the radio and in clubs so I know exactly how a final master will translate to them
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Mac Pro running Logic Pro X. Loads of plugins and a few bits of hardware
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing electronic/dance/pop tracks... followed by mastering. I also do a lot of vocal production followed by mastering
