Kiernan Hutchinson is a composer, producer, and engineer based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Since the founding of his progressive rock band, Dear Eris, Kiernan has developed a unique brand of existential lyricism, innovative compositions, and bone-crushing productions. He produces and engineers each track with the intent to create a distinct sonic world that exists both independently and collectively within the universe of the larger project. His compositions force an audience to listen intently, or they might miss subtle motifs in their instrumentation, theory, or sound design. The only artistic rules that Kiernan abides by is to maintain an unrelenting honesty in all stages of the creative process, and to strive to create something profound.

Kiernan’s musical ear is rooted in a wide variety of genres, and most importantly, their respective attitudes. Growing up under the influence of heavy metal, punk, and industrial rock, his engineering is often as gritty and unforgiving as the vibe of the composition. While dark and menacing sonics is his forte, Kiernan revels in an appreciation of all music and is always seeking new cathartic art to work with.
