Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Varies according to project.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Proud of all my projects for different reasons but some of my favorites are, Natalia LaFourcade, I won Latin Grammy for Best Engineered Album in 2015 and Latin Grammy for Recording of the Year 2015! Andres Calamaro, one of the best singer song writers in Latin America his “Lengua Popular” album was a master piece to work on. One of my favorite albums. Julieta Venegas, amazing and talented singer song writer from Mexico who changed Latin Pop for the better. Very creative and great sounding records always a pleasure to work with her and I have mastered 3 albums to date.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: All digital, because of the flexibility, instant recall ability for adjustments and able to work much more efficient.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will do my absolute best with your music every time.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Making it sound as best as possible and getting the feed back from the artist and producer.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Credits!!, no matter how many years of experience and awards your earn or nominations most new clients ask for credits lol…
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That mastering engineers only add “volume and eq”!! 😂
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I like to get information about the artist, what type of sound they are looking for.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I can provide a free sample on your music you get to listen to the actual mastering on YOUR production.
