Andrew Halvorson is a freelance recording and mixing engineer from Minneapolis who does most of his work out of The Hideaway in Minneapolis. He has worked with a wide range of artists around the cities and enjoys working on all types of music.

I can do anything lyrically, top-line, vocally. I am a singer/songwriter/vocal producer/engineer. I was a linguist for 10 years, so I understand "language" in a way that, for me, is not just about the words, but how they feel when leaving your mouth; or hitting your ears. There's a psychology. It's about how you deliver them. Intention.

StudioMechanic Productions is a studio production company that provides a way for local musicians to record their art. All of our engineers have degrees in the Music Production Recording Arts. We believe that music is an art form and that every musician should have an opportunity to capture his or her art.

I've been a music producer for over 8 years working on original material as music for other artists. Recently I have moved into audio engineering, working on some fantastic new projects coming out of Australia. I'm an assistant engineer to Colin Wynne at Thirty Mill Studios who has a long list of accolades including multiple ARIA awards.

I have worked with several local bands, as well as short films, documentaries and sound design.

I've spent the last 7 years writing, producing and performing as a major label artist. I've had songs in the top 40 (triple A radio) and on the Pat Monahan (Train) show on Sirius XM.
