When it comes to composing films, I approach it very much like a jazz performance. Whereby the elements such as improvisation, complex harmony, and the blues are fully present and realized throughout.
Randy Newman said my interpretation of his song "Feels Like Home" was the best he's ever heard it sung. I've recorded harmonies for Emmylou Harris alongside Bonnie Raitt and Paul Shaffer. CBS said my collaboration with Emmy Award winning composer Helmut VonLichten for their 2017 NCAA trailer was one of their absolute favorites.
