Let's get to work already!
Hey, I’m Jimmie.
Background:
I have a degree in Music Business with a concentrate in Music Theory and Piano. I have been producing for eight years and have landed credits with top tier artists on major record labels (see credits below)
WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?
I specialize in Pop/Dance/EDM/Remixing
Production: I am a piano player and audio programmer specializing in Ableton Live. I can compose, arrange, articulate and manipulate sounds any way necessary in order to make the record sound the best/unique it can be.
Mixing: A solid mix can make or break your final product. To ensure a proper mix, I send my mixes to another engineer to add final touches and give me any critiques before returning the product. Having an extra professional ear on your work gives me great confidence in returning your product.
Credits include Mariah Carey, French Montana, Future, Fifth Harmony, Tru Life, Off Bloom, and KOLAJ.

Interview with Jimmie
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently remixing and producing over top lines for other top tier artists.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Myles William. He is the best producer I have ever worked with. I recommend him for anything regarding music production AND music business.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, because you can.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise to my clients is simple. They will get the best product I can possibly deliver. I take pride in my work and put in top of the line effort towards my work for you.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's a non-stop, never ending shift of creation. There's never a dull moment in my studio.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People think this is a hobby. This is an every day operation for me - far from a hobby.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be afraid to ask/request anything - even if it seems left field from my description of myself. I am an answer finder. I will get what you need!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: MacBook Pro, VModa Headphones, Akai MPK49. Don't really need anything else.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Grey. I think their music is so creative. They deliver such powerful energy with emotional lyrics. They are the best!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Spend 20 minutes on one thing maximum and move on to the next. When the song is laid out with all of the important (musical) elements, then dissect what you have and dig deep into fine tuning each and every part that needs a little bit of extra work.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Pop/Electronic music. I've been remixing a ton the last 12 months and have gotten really acquainted with the sound selection and arrangement in this style of music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is seeing a record through. A lot of times, artists get stuck in one thing and can't move on to the next. I find it to be my job to help curate the session and see that a good song comes out of the time we spent in the studio.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I am using two Yamaha HS8 with a Yamaha Subwoofer. Big Knob control pane with a 49 Alesis Midi keyboard. Nothing fancy. This gets the job done and makes me feel extremely comfortable when working.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Benny Blanco, Louis Bell, Max Martin, DJ Snake, Diplo, Scooter Braun
