Interview with Mohamed Talaat

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One project I’m especially proud of was working with Arab artists where I handled the full analog mixing and mastering. What made it special wasn’t just the technical side — it was helping shape the sound in a way that truly captured the artist’s identity and emotions. My role was to ensure every detail felt authentic, powerful, and alive — and hearing the final result on big speakers was a moment of real pride.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: For me, it’s all about analog. Analog brings warmth, depth, and a musicality that digital can’t fully replicate — it’s alive and adds soul to the sound. That said, I also respect the precision and flexibility of digital tools, and I often combine both for the best possible result.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: My promise is to treat every project with care, respect, and full commitment. I will listen closely to your vision, communicate clearly, and deliver a final result that meets the highest artistic and technical standards. Your music matters — and I’m here to help it shine.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: What I love most is helping artists bring their vision to life — hearing a raw idea transform into something powerful, emotional, and polished. I enjoy the creative challenge of every project and the feeling of delivering a result that makes the artist say, “Yes, that’s exactly what I wanted!”

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  10. A: Clients often ask: ✅ How long will the mix or master take? ✅ Can you match the sound of a specific artist or reference track? ✅ Can you work with stems recorded at home or lower-quality sources? My answers: ✅ I deliver on time and communicate clearly about deadlines. ✅ I can match references but will always prioritize what best serves your song. ✅ Yes — I work carefully with all kinds of recordings and will always aim to bring out the best possible result.

  11. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  12. A: The biggest misconception is that mixing or mastering is just about making things louder or adding effects. In reality, it’s about serving the emotion of the music, finding the perfect balance, and making sure every element supports the artist’s vision. It’s not just technical — it’s deeply artistic.

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: I always start by asking: ✅ What is your artistic vision and goal for this project? ✅ Are there any reference tracks or artists that inspire the sound you want? ✅ What emotions or feeling do you want the listener to experience? ✅ What’s your timeline and any key deadlines? ✅ Do you have any technical details (like tempo, key, stems format) ready? My goal is to understand the artist’s identity and deliver a result that feels authentic and powerful.

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  20. A: Rihanna, Dua Lipa , Pharrell Williams , Drake , The Weeknd, I think I can produce a fusion dancing track

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: One key tip: Always take breaks when mixing! Your ears get tired faster than you think, and stepping away — even for 10 minutes — can help you hear the mix with fresh perspective and avoid over-processing.

  23. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  24. A: I bring warmth, depth, and emotion to every song — using my analog expertise to create a sound that feels alive and timeless. Beyond the technical, I bring careful listening and deep respect for the artist’s vision, making sure the final result truly connects with the listener.

  25. Q: What's your typical work process?

  26. A: My process starts by deeply understanding the artist’s vision — we discuss references, emotions, and goals. Once I receive the files, I carefully organize and clean them, then move into analog mixing and detailed crafting. I share updates as needed, welcome feedback, and make sure the final result is something we’re both proud of.
