Hi, I'm Aresz a trance and progressive producer from Cape Town South Africa. I have tracks released on Enhanced Music and Elliptical Sun Recordings. Most of my tracks has seen support from like of Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Sunny Lax, Tom Fall, Myon, Shane 54, W&W, Andrew Rayel, Cosmic Gate, Morgan Page, Fatum and many more...
I enjoy teaching people about music production. When I first started, it was difficult to find help from established artists and understand the struggles of a new producer. I am happy to tutor you in Ableton Live and help you get up to speed with the current tracks released on big labels these days.
Being inspired by Mat Zo, Andrew Bayer, Fatum and Sunny Lax, I have focused my time on learning how these guys create those insane basslines as well as those lush breakdowns heard on many Anjunabeats tracks.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My latest tracks with Enhanced Music and Elliptical Sun Recordings! I am proud of the basslines as it my favorite part of a track
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on a track for Enhanced Music. I just sent a track to Enhanced Music and Elliptical Sun Recordings (part of Elliptical Sun Music 02 album)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Andrew Bayer, he is a genius!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Listen to different genre's while you are not in your studio (driving, working etc). You will be surprised at how much inspiration you can find listening to other genre's.

A: Progressive Trance
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Basslines!!!!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: For me, basslines, it is something I have been experimenting with a lot lately
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I love crazy basslines as you can see by the artists that inspire me. I usually start with the bassline and get inspired on the rest of the track from there. I sometimes start with the break first if I have an idea/feel inspired. I never use the same sounds for my basslines and leads (from previous tracks), I always start off free which helps me grow as an artist.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I only use a laptop and studio headphones, right now it is all I need and my productions are quite decent lol

A: Mostly Progressive Trance played on Above & Beyond Group Therapy
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: My good friend Zuubi, we have worked on a few tracks together signed to enhanced and got support from big producers/DJ's in the industry. He masters all our tracks and they sound amazing.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, why not? Back in the day producers had no choice but to use analog, technology has advanced so much. Why go back?
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Seeing people enjoy my music
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I am one of the friendliest easy going guys out there willing to go the extra mile to help you learn.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: laptop, headphones. I don't need much to make good music!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been messing around with production for more than 10 years, but really started taking things seriously for the past 5 years.
