Harrison Caldeira on SoundBetter

Producing music that puts you in your "feels".

I'm Harrison, a music producer specializing in Indie Pop and Alt-RnB, creating music that puts you 'in your feels.' My studio, The T-House in Stouffville, ON, is custom-built for optimal sound quality, providing the perfect environment to bring your vision to life.

I offer a full production process, transforming your ideas from rough voice notes to polished tracks. My three-step approach—what, how, and why—eliminates guesswork, letting us focus on crafting your desired sound. Here's how we'll work together:

Step 1: Onboarding
We'll discuss your project, and I'll provide a detailed proposal outlining services, timelines, and deliverables. After a quick SoundBetter chat to finalize details, you'll share an inspiration playlist to set the vibe.

Step 2: Concept Development
With your vision, we'll develop the concept. Whether it's a voice memo or a fleshed-out idea, I'll build around your core sound to match your artistic vision.

Step 3: Production
This is where the magic happens. We'll experiment with sounds, beats, and melodies to find the right fit. Once we've nailed the core, I'll structure it into a cohesive piece that captures your unique sound.

As an artist myself, I understand how crucial it is to set the right atmosphere for creativity.

Working with Harrison has been an incredible experience. His team is dedicated to fostering creativity and helping artists reach their full potential. From top-notch production quality to strategic marketing support, they provide everything an artist needs to thrive in the music industry. He’s even supportive in the production of my own label. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities and guidance they’ve given me. T House is more than just a label it’s a family that genuinely cares about its artists and their music.

Harrison is the best music producer I ever worked with. He produced exactly what I had in mind.i’m happy I found him.. I’m from Montreal but I always take a trip to Toronto which is 5 hour drive…that means he’s good at what he’s doing and I don’t wanna work with anyone else.

When I worked with Harrison Caldeira, I was truly impressed by his skills as a producer. Going into the recording studio, I didn't know what to expect, but Harrison guided me through the entire process with ease. Working with Harrison was an amazing experience. He's a really talented artist awerned of a rythm, melody, arrangements and sound design. I love how he worked with his voice in a track we made together. He perfectly felt the style of a beat and his vocals made it complete. He's also a multi instrumentalist, producer and engineer. He released a lot of top quality songs in various styles like for example r&b, rap, pop, folk and all of them are 100% made by him from production, vocals, mixing and mastering. Crazy skills, definitely worth checking and working with.

Harrison aka H mon, also as ‘a guy with sound thinking and vibe’, he has a kinda his own unique ‘passion’ and ‘skilled profession’ toward music.
He once set up a home recording studio in my tiny living studio with his Macbook, which showed me his enthusiasm and capability.
I am sure you would get satisfied in music also in a human relationship with him. I have never seen a foreigner like him who has a ‘clear vision’ and ‘motivation’ here in Seoul.

H has put in the work for a decade. He has an eclectic ear, a taste for dope sounds, and is diligent about his work. If you are looking for someone to help you build your vision and watch it come to life, look no further. He is a true genre-bender, his solo collection is very folky and airy, but his ability to come out of his shell and collaborate, fusing hip hop, soul sounds, R&B, and even afro-beats and afro-pop make him one of a kind. I will eternally credit him for pushing me to find my footing and encouraging me to push on, you will not regret working with this man I promise you!

I had a great time recording with Harisson. Professional, creative and incredibly talented individual. He creates a vibe that motivates me to be better, learn more and elevate my game. He's worked with my favourite musician, character and Juno nominated artist war child soldier, Emmanuel Jal from South Sudan. Collaboration with people like this is a true testament to his character, honesty and musical soul. Highly recommended, trustworthy musical dude.

Interview with Harrison Caldeira

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I worked with an artist named Doria, who came to me with a simple voice memo. We developed that raw idea into a fully produced track that captured her vision perfectly. I handled the entire production process, and seeing her emotional reaction when she heard the final product was incredibly rewarding.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m currently working on several projects, including producing tracks for up-and-coming Indie Pop and Alt-RnB artists. I’m also refining my production process to enhance the experience for my clients.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Currently, I focus on my services, but I’d be happy to connect clients with other professionals if they need additional support, such as vocal coaching or songwriting.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital, for its versatility and flexibility. While I love the warmth of analog, digital production allows me to explore limitless creative possibilities and adapt quickly to different styles and sounds.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise to bring your vision to life with precision and care, ensuring that you not only love the final product but also enjoy every step of the creative process.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love helping artists realize their vision. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing their reaction when they hear the final track—it’s a moment where all the hard work pays off.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Most clients ask, "How long will the process take?" I explain that it varies depending on the project's complexity, but I provide a detailed timeline after our initial discussion to set clear expectations.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: The biggest misconception is that production is just about making beats. In reality, it's about creating an entire atmosphere and soundscape that fits the artist's message and emotional intent.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I ask about their musical influences, what message or emotion they want to convey, and their goals for the project. I also request an inspiration playlist to get a sense of their desired sound.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Look for someone who genuinely listens to your vision and makes you feel comfortable. The production process is collaborative, so it's crucial to work with someone who is both skilled and open to your ideas.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Laptop with DAW Audio Interface MIDI Keyboard Dynamic Microphone Studio Headphones

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started as a songwriter in 2005. My journey has taken me across different countries, writing an EP in France, and building my skills as a producer. I've been working in music production professionally for over a decade, now operating my own studio in Toronto, Canada.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style is emotive, clean, and atmospheric. I focus on creating a sound that brings out the raw emotion in each track, combining organic and digital elements to create something that feels both intimate and expansive.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I’d love to work with artists like Frank Ocean or H.E.R. because of their emotional depth and authenticity. Their music captures raw emotions, which aligns with my style of production—turning simple ideas into moving experiences.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Don’t be afraid to strip things back. Sometimes, removing elements rather than adding more can bring out the true essence of a song. Let the vocals and the key sounds shine through.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I primarily work on Indie Pop and Alt-RnB, but I’m experienced with various genres. My focus is on music that connects emotionally, putting listeners 'in their feels.'

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is production. I have an ear for blending elements to create a cohesive and polished track. Whether it’s capturing the perfect vocal take or adding that extra texture to a beat, I excel at creating music that feels authentic and unique.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring a deep understanding of the emotional journey in music. I focus on translating the artist's feelings and stories into sound, creating tracks that resonate with listeners on a personal level. My experience as a songwriter and artist helps me intuitively understand what each song needs.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: My process starts with onboarding, where I discuss the project with the artist to understand their vision. I then provide a detailed proposal, including services, timelines, and deliverables. We move into concept development, where I build the foundation of the track, often using an inspiration playlist provided by the artist. From there, I dive into production—experimenting with sounds, beats, and melodies until the track comes to life.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: The T-House is a custom-built production studio located in Stouffville, ON. It's professionally treated for the best possible sound environment, equipped with industry-standard gear, high-quality microphones, studio monitors, a collection of analog synthesizers, and digital audio workstations. My setup is designed to provide flexibility and precision in capturing the essence of every project.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I'm inspired by producers like Pharrell Williams and Quincy Jones, who have a unique ability to capture an artist's essence and create a sound that resonates deeply with listeners. I also draw inspiration from modern producers like Finneas, whose minimalistic yet powerful production style creates intimate and emotional soundscapes.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I specialize in full music production, turning an artist's initial concept—whether it's a voice memo or a rough idea—into a polished, ready-to-release track. I work closely with artists throughout the process to ensure the final product aligns with their vision.
