StudioMechanic Productions is a studio production company that provides a way for local musicians to record their art. All of our engineers have degrees in the Music Production Recording Arts. We believe that music is an art form and that every musician should have an opportunity to capture his or her art.
StudioMechanic Productions is nestled in the heart of California. Located just 45 minutes from the San Fransisco and Sacramento areas. We offer a variety of services, along with a variety of recording studios. All our studios are equipped with Pro Tools 10 or higher. We offer mixing, mastering, sound design and sfx services. Our schedule is flexible and so is our rates.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, things tend to blend better that way.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise to my clients is to provide them with the perfect sound that they are looking for.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Take your time, do your research, make sure they are certified or have a Degree in the industry. Definitely listen to their mix's.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I used to be a mechanic and I started doing audio engineering two years ago.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They are a fantastic band and have great music with an original sound to it.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Levels, maintain proper levels throughout your mix's.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I generally work on all types of genres. Simply because I listen to all genres and my library for reference songs is of all different types of genres.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First before anything I listen to the track and then I start off by getting proper levels.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My home studio setup consists of a pair of JBL LSR studio monitors paired with a MOTU Traveler. Working out of Pro Tools 11 on a Mac. The studio is fully treated with acoustic treatments. I have access to a few other studios with mixing boards and live rooms. One board is an Audient 36 ch and another is a Digidesign C/24.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mainly do mixing and mastering for my clients. I do get the occasional client that needs studio time.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like sitting behind the mixing console and being in the studio.

A: What type of sound are you looking for? When do you need it finished by? What is your DAW?

Mixing and Mastering services include UP TO 3 revisions. Revisions must be submitted IN WRITING within 48 hours of delivery. Additional revisions will be charged at a rate of $50 per revision.
