My most pressing current project is called Monchu, an ongoing 12-month release by SMOKER. This project involved myself building an impromptu garage recording studio in Knoxville, TN, and capturing around 20 songs worth of material over 2 months. Mixing, overdubs, and some additional full recordings are now in progress as the songs are being released. As none of these tracks were recorded in a "professional" studio, I have gained great experience in taking small-room recordings (including full live drum kit and 5+ live instruments) and making them sound vibrant, interesting, and "professional".
As an independent musician myself, I understand what's it's like to seek great recordings on a meager budget. With time, patience, and a careful ear it can be done, and done well. So take a listen, and judge for yourself. If you like my style, let's be in touch.
