Interview with Rene Toledo Jr.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: When I mixed a Tony Bennett record called "Who Can I Turn To". It was my first time mixing traditional music & it was an amazing experience. Everything was recorded live! Great recording! Working with a legend! I basically slept 2 hours a day when I was mixing that record. I didn't want to leave the studio. It's my greatest accomplishment in my career. The album was nominated for a Grammy.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. I'm still an old school minded type of guy that loves working with analog consoles & outboard gear. My digital workflow is easier with recalls & creative automation.
